Responsibilities include: • Verifying patient demographic information and accurately documenting reason for visit, • Performing patient vitals including height, weight and screening procedures such as vision testing and audiometry, entering information into EMR software, • Accurately documenting patient health information and findings as dictated by Providers, • Adhering to infection control protocol; hand hygiene, equipment disinfection/ sterilization, and use of Personal Protective Equipment, • Performing phlebotomy and electrocardiograms as directed by providers, • Collecting specimens, completing requisitions, properly labeling and routing specimens to appropriate lab vendors, • Preparing patients for in-house exams/ procedures, i.e. - EKG's, pelvic exams and assisting providers with special set-ups and procedures when needed, • Properly using lab equipment, performing calibrations as needed.
