Essential Job Summary:: Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising the collections activities in one or more lines of business (commercial, residential, roll-off and container delivery pick up). The Operations Supervisor oversees drivers, helpers, and other members of the management team and works with the Operations Site Manager to implement tactical initiatives to drive functional excellence and budget achievement. The Supervisor ensures adherence to all accident prevention programs and leads operations to ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, operating, regulatory, accounting, ethics and other standards. Responsibilities include the execution and delivery of Safety, Customer Experience, and Efficiency while supporting a culture of employee engagement. Other minor duties may be assigned.: • Lead drivers to exceed productivity goals and expectations for all routes., • Create, modify, and improve routes to maximize density and improve efficiency., • Reduce route hours to the extent possible with techniques such as service conversions and container upsizing., • Understand and provide leadership to achieve and communicate about safety goals and objectives., • Work to remove unsafe conditions or situations from drivers’ routes., • Work with the sales team to identify and eliminate any unsafe conditions on new or existing customers, seeking service alternatives where appropriate., • Partner with the maintenance department to ensure all equipment remains in working order and in compliance with safety standards., • Oversee effective safety and accident prevention programs to ensure all reasonable actions are taken to prevent accidents and injuries; ensure a safe and productive work environment for all employees; implement and maintain an effective safety program., • Engage assigned employees in active participation to instill a culture of safety by demonstration of a personal commitment to safe operations and active personal outreach to operational employees., • Observes drivers on the road and corrects safety problems on the scene while documenting violations., • Documents and maintains records required by regulatory agencies such as the Department of Transportation (DOT), • Reviews and audits documentation related to route operations daily (e.g., DVIRs, driver time and attendance, open tickets), following up where appropriate., • Perform route vehicle inspections., • Conducts on-the-scene incident/accident investigation; assists drivers in preparing accident reports, and safety violations documents., • Conduct daily shift safety briefings at company depots., • The Driver position may be required to lift up to 50 pounds,, • Must be able to work outdoors in all kinds of weather., • Drivers must be able to physically mount and dismount the truck throughout the duration of the workday Requirements and Qualifications:: • Must have a valid drivers license., • 3+ years of experience in transportation supervision or similar lead role., • Proficient knowledge and understanding of DOT rules and regulations., • Extensive knowledge of New York City roads and highways for route planning and support., • Current Driver’s License and no disqualifying violations on MVR., • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently., • Intermediate Word and Excel skills for correspondence and reporting duties., • Intermediate MS Outlook skills for regular daily communication with coworkers and departments, • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills., • Willingness to be flexible with schedule start and end times., • Be open and honest with team and manager on all levels. Job Description • Immediate Need- Site Managers, • Direct Hire Opportunity Scope of Work Under the direction of the Logistics Manager or onsite assigned field manager performs duties as assigned within designated work area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties and responsibilities may be expanded as management may deem necessary from time to time. Customer Service • Will make contact with client upon arrival at event site, • Will address any questions or concerns the client may have, • Problem solves to ensure client satisfaction, • Prioritizes the steps of the installation for maximum efficiency, • Problem solves with staff to maintain production schedule, • Recommends new products and methods to increase capacity, profit and employee/customer satisfaction, • Required to supervise up to four team on event site, • Recommends staff for promotion and pay increases, • Ability to discipline staff, • Reports hours for all staff members, • Ensures proper training of staff, • Communicates with Logistics Manager/EM any issues with personnel or loading to optimize efficiency for warehouse and/or events, • Prioritizes the steps of the installation for maximum efficiency, • Supervise long-term installations, • Participate in site/job planning, • Complete knowledge of company safety procedures and programs, • Responsible for reporting any accidents associated with job or personnel, • Notes changes to customer contracts such as additional inventory delivered or services performed and communicates information back to appropriate manager, • Completes driver logs and follows all DOT regulations if applicable, • Ability to install tents up to 50m in width with the exception of Uni Flex, • Ability to install all custom structures, • Advanced understanding of carpentry skills, • Complete knowledge of frame tents, pole tents, Maxi Flex tents, and Ultra Flex tents, • Intermediate knowledge of Uni Flex tents, • Complete knowledge of installation of fully leveled floor, • Relevant work experience, • High School Diploma/GED preferred, • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one setting or within a group atmosphere to other employees of the organization., • Fluent in English, • Valid driver’s license preferred, • Ability to drive box truck, • Forklift certification which includes certification of a 10,000 lb. forklift, • Aerial Work Platform Certification, • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
