Job Description KOMAN Government Solutions, LLC (KGS), a wholly-owned 8(a) subsidiary of the Natives of Kodiak (NOK), provides high-quality remediation, consulting, engineering, waste management, munition and construction services. Our client base includes the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Marine, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Department of Agriculture, National Guard Bureau, Federal Aviation Administration, as well as various state, municipal and commercial entities. We have an immediate need for a part-time (20-hours per week) Treatment Plant Operator located in the vicinity of the Naval Weapons Industrial Reserve Plant (NWIRP), Bethpage, New York. The Treatment Plant Operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance (O&M), monitoring, troubleshooting, and repairing various treatment plants. These may include groundwater treatment plants, wastewater pretreatment/treatment plants, drinking water treatment plants, soil vapor extraction/air sparge (SVE/AS) systems, or other treatment plants. The Treatment Plant Operator is responsible for general plant and property maintenance and implementation of onsite safety and quality control. Benefits: • Our full-time employees are eligible for an outstanding benefits package that consists of medical, dental, vision, life / disability insurance and 401k with match., • Perform Treatment Plant O&M in accordance with prescribed requirements including discharge permit requirements., • Perform instrument calibration/measurement/data recording for operating parameters., • Collect process samples to be shipped for laboratory analysis., • Perform routine maintenance items such as filter changeouts, carbon backwashing, carbon or other media changeouts, pump and motor servicing, and/or any other routine maintenance required., • Respond to system call-outs as required within 4 hours to keep the treatment plants running continuously., • Perform/oversee routine site maintenance including limited mowing and snow removal., • Treat water generating from construction dewatering events., • Perform troubleshooting activities. Assist with repairs and treatment plant upgrades or modifications., • Prepare daily reports to be emailed to the Project Manager., • Prepare monthly reports including discharge monitoring reports, • Oversee onsite activities to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations., • Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory., • Assist in generating Request for Information and Change Order documents, including labor and materials costs for necessary maintenance., • Prepare internal reports pertaining to job status., • Oversee subcontractors, • Familiarity/experience with operation/control of:, • Remote recovery wells, • Air Stripping, • Bag Filtration, • GAC filtration, • Advance oxidation process (AOP), • Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training., • Licensed Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator., • OSHA 40 hr HAZWOPER Training preferred., • Basic mechanical skills to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and direct repairs on groundwater extraction and treatment system components., • Ability to work in the field on hazardous waste sites., • Must be able to occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds., • Must be a US citizen and can obtain security clearance/badges for access to secure military installations., • Must possess valid US driver’s license and good driving record. Duties and Responsibilities • Provides training in independent living skills, tenant responsibility, and psychiatric stability., • Coordinates admissions, transfers, and discharges., • Makes routine visits to residents., • Participates in developing, evaluating, and modifying service plans., • Supports medication self-administration; learns medication effects and side effects., • Assists with vocational/educational goals and socialization skills., • Organizes recreational activities and provides counseling/crisis management., • Ensures fire safety compliance and conducts apartment inspections., • Provides transportation as needed and distributes resident allowances., • Leads apartment meetings and coordinates treatment team meetings., • Attends staff meetings, training, and agency committees as required., • Completes all documentation accurately and on time. The duties of the LPN include but are not limited to- Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care by interviewing patients of variable populations Collaborates with the RN/Provider in developing and implementing a plan of care individualized to carry out the needs of the patient Contribut
