Purpose of the Role: The Retail Franchise Manager Iberia is responsible for leading and developing the franchise business across Spain and Portugal. Acting as the key interface between HQ and our franchise partners, this role ensures operational excellence in stores, drives business performance, and supports the long-term growth of the region. Key Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Franchise Operations & Store Excellence Ensure implementation and compliance with brand retail guidelines, processes, and standards across all Iberian franchise stores. Conduct regular store visits to monitor KPIs, visual merchandising, service levels, and operational execution. Drive like-for-like performance by identifying opportunities and implementing action plans with partners. Manage seasonal openings and closings of stores (every 5 months): Ensure all stores open each season with the full set of tools, guidelines, assortments, and operational readiness. Coordinate and supervise end-of-season closures, including stock returns, operational wrap-up, and compliance with seasonal processes. Act as the operational point of contact for partners to guarantee smooth execution during these critical seasonal transitions. 2. Partner Relationship Management Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with all franchise partners. Support partners in developing their teams, improving store operations, and upgrading retail capabilities. Lead monthly business reviews (KPI, traffic, UPT, conversion, stock, profitability) and define corrective actions. 3. Business Analysis & Performance Monitoring Manage all sales, KPI, and stock data for Iberia and translate insights into actionable strategies. Work closely with HQ (Retail, Finance, Product, Marketing) to secure aligned business plans and follow-up. Ensure structured follow-up on processes, reporting, and operational standards. 4. Buying Support & Collection Planning Accompany partners during the annual buying process and ensure buy plans are aligned with brand strategy and store needs. Provide analytical support on product mix, forecasting, and in-season stock management. 5. Franchise Development & Network Expansion Identify new business opportunities in Spain & Portugal and activate the candidate’s existing network to support franchise expansion. Assess potential partners, locations, and business cases in coordination with HQ. Contribute to the strategic long-term growth plan for Iberia (currently 12 stores, strong potential for expansion). 6. Financial Management & Compliance Ensure monthly follow-up of partner payments, outstanding balances, and correct allocation in SAP. Monitor Ageing reports with Finance and ensure accuracy of partner debt positions. Follow up on all credit notes (returns, fees, adjustments) and ensure they are issued and allocated on time. Oversee invoicing of franchise fees (cegid, royalaties, damages, furnitures...) Maintain regular alignment with Finance to track open items and support partners on financial topics. 7. Travel & Field Presence Frequent travel across Spain and Portugal is essential to maintain operational control, partner engagement, and market understanding. Requirements: Business School degree or equivalent; solid foundation in business, retail, and analytics. Highly structured, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities with strong follow-through. Minimum 5–7 years of experience in retail/franchise management Ability to build strong relationships, influence partners, and drive performance without direct authority. Proactive, structured, autonomous, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Fluent in Spanish and English, and Portuguese is a plus. Willingness to travel frequently.
