Production & Supply Planner Location: Barberà del Vallès, Barcelona Department: Supply Chain & Operations Reports to: Supply Chain & Operations Director Contract: Permanent, Full-time About the role We are looking for a Production & Supply Planner to join our Supply Chain & Operations team and take ownership of the production and supply planning process, ensuring product availability while optimizing production efficiency and material requirements. The role combines production planning, supply planning, MRP and cross-functional coordination, working closely with Production, Procurement, Commercial, Marketing, Laboratory, Logistics and other key stakeholders. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized and proactive, with the ability to anticipate supply risks, translate demand into feasible production plans and coordinate multiple changes and priorities in a dynamic environment. Key responsibilities Production Planning & Scheduling • Develop the factory production plan up to three months ahead, based on customer orders, sales forecasts and production capacity., • Prepare and maintain the short-term production schedule, with a detailed view of the following two weeks., • Review system-generated production proposals and adjust them according to production capacity, material availability, demand and business priorities., • Release and manage production orders, ensuring that planned quantities and timing are aligned with business needs., • Optimize production batches and formats sharing the same formula to reduce the number of production runs and optimize finished goods quantities., • Continuously monitor production progress and adapt the plan to changes in demand, production deviations and operational constraints., • Follow up on production and third-party manufacturing to ensure that commitments and planned dates are met. Supply Planning & MRP • Run and manage the MRP process, including the preparation and upload of sales forecasts and the analysis and correction of system exceptions., • Calculate and review material requirements across the company, identifying potential supply constraints, excess requirements or inaccurate system proposals., • Review component requirements when releasing production orders and optimize production planning to avoid unnecessary purchasing requirements, taking into account minimum order quantities and lot sizes., • Work closely with Procurement and the Material Supply Planner to ensure alignment between the production plan and material planning., • Identify potential supply risks and proactively propose corrective actions. Product Changes & New Launches • Coordinate the planning impact of product, packaging, formulation and reference changes, ensuring that all affected references are identified and properly managed., • Manage transitions between old and new materials/references, defining cut-off points and required dates while minimizing obsolete inventory., • Coordinate planning activities related to new product launches, ensuring production is scheduled according to launch timelines and expected demand., • Maintain visibility of relevant company changes across Marketing, Export, Laboratory, Production and other functions, identifying interactions between changes and coordinating their implementation., • Ensure that relevant master data, product references and planning parameters are correctly maintained in the ERP system. Cross-functional Collaboration • Participate in the S&OP / SOP process, providing accurate information on supply, production capacity and potential constraints., • Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Commercial, Marketing, Laboratory, Logistics and other relevant teams to ensure alignment between demand, supply and production plans., • Ensure effective communication and follow-up across teams on planning priorities, changes and potential supply constraints. Systems & Data Management • Maintain and update relevant master data and planning parameters in the ERP system., • Identify and correct system errors or inconsistencies that could lead to incorrect planning or purchasing decisions., • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across planning processes., • Review and approve relevant production and product documentation, including Artworks, PDFs and HRs, when required. What we're looking for • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, Operations Management or a related field., • Previous experience in production planning, supply planning, material planning or a similar Supply Chain role., • Strong understanding of MRP, production planning and material requirements., • Experience working with an ERP system; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience is highly valued., • Strong Excel and analytical skills., • Good understanding of Artificial Intelligence tools and their practical application in planning, data analysis, process optimization and decision-making., • Ability to use AI-based tools to improve productivity, analyze information, identify patterns, automate repetitive tasks and support planning activities., • Ability to analyze large amounts of information and translate data into clear actions and decisions., • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail., • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a cross-functional environment., • Proactive approach and ability to anticipate problems before they impact production or customer service., • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills., • Fluent in Spanish; English is a plus.
