Responsibilities Lead localization and development of automotive interior components, including structural design, material selection and technical reviews, ensuring on-time delivery to mass production. Interface with styling, vehicle integration, testing, manufacturing and suppliers to drive interior parts through the full development cycle: design freeze → tooling → trial builds → DV/PV validation → SOP. Conduct and follow up DV/PV validation activities, analyze test issues and implement corrective actions to close open points. Respond to quality concerns quickly and collaborate with suppliers, plant and quality teams to drive issue resolution. Review tooling and manufacturing feasibility (DFM) for injection-molded, blow-molded, foamed and other interior components to ensure manufacturability and durability. Manage supplier development timing and deliverables, monitor technical risks and support continuous improvement on performance, cost and quality. Prepare engineering documents including 3D data release, BOM, DVP&R, PPAP and technical reports. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or above in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields. 3+ years of experience in automotive part development or program management, familiar with APQP/PPAP and product release process. Solid knowledge of plastic tooling and manufacturing processes, with hands-on experience in tooling kick-off, T0/T1 trials and DFM reviews. Proficient in 3D CAD software such as CATIA / UG NX / Creo, able to independently complete structural design and data release. Good understanding of regulatory and vehicle integration requirements including safety, NVH, ergonomics, thermal expansion, and packaging rules. Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills, structured working mindset and strong team spirit. Experience working in OEMs or Tier-1 interior suppliers is highly preferred. Preferred Qualifications Direct development experience on key interior components: Instrument Panel, Door Trim, Center Console, Pillar Trim, Headliner, Trunk Trim, etc. Knowledge in DFMEA, tolerance analysis (GD&T), CAE correlation, and issue-tracking tools (8D). Supplier management experience and cost/quality optimization capability.
