Each property is personally inspected by our specialist team, and our deep local knowledge, close relationships with villa owners, and personalised service are at the heart of everything we do.The RoleThe Senior Copywriter will be responsible for protecting and maintaining Tuscany Now & More’s brand voice and copy quality across all core marketing channels during a period of maternity cover. A key focus of this role includes ownership of the ongoing content planning and prioritisation across email, social media, and the blog, operating within established content pillars and frameworks to ensure consistency and alignment with commercial and marketing objectives.The Senior Copywriter will also act as the primary editorial and brand gatekeeper, briefing, editing, and approving content produced by the freelance content writer. This requires strong editorial and brand judgement, the ability to work independently within defined guidelines, and the confidence to apply tactical decision-making to day-to-day content priorities.Key ResponsibilitiesCopywritingWrite, edit, and proofread original and compelling content for press ads/advertorials, collateral, direct mail, digital advertising, website landing and product pages, and twice-weekly email marketing campaignsCraft strategic, platform-specific copy for social media channels including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTubeEnsure all copy is brand-aligned, conversion-focused, and consistent in tone, messaging, and qualityMaintain and apply Tuscany Now & More’s verbal brand identity across all channelsContent Planning & Editorial OwnershipOwn day-to-day content planning and prioritisation across email, social media, and the Discover Italy blog, operating within established content pillars and frameworksManage the rolling content calendar, making informed editorial decisions on which villas, destinations, or collections to prioritise week to weekEnsure content supports commercial and marketing objectives while adapting plans responsively based on performance, seasonality, and sales prioritiesEditorial OversightAct as final editorial sign-off for all written marketing content before publicationBrief, guide, edit, and approve content produced by the freelance content writer, ensuring that messaging hierarchy is clearly communicated and SEO/GEO best practices are followedProvide clear, constructive feedback to maintain high editorial standardsSEO & Performance AwarenessApply strong on-page SEO principles across all written contentEnsure content aligns with search intent and supports discoverabilityUse social and content performance insights to make informed tactical decisions around content planning and optimisationCandidate RequirementsEssentialFluent English speakerB.A. in Writing, English, or a similar degree, or equivalent experienceProven experience as a senior or highly experienced copywriter, ideally with in-house experienceStrong background in writing conversion-focused web copy (product pages, landing pages, campaigns)Experience owning or contributing to content planning and editorial calendarsAbility to work autonomously, take initiative, and confidently present ideasConfidence in editing and approving other writers’ workExcellent understanding of brand voice, tone, and messaging consistencySolid working knowledge of SEO best practicesHighly DesirableExperience in the luxury travel, hospitality, or lifestyle sectorStrong knowledge of Italy, Italian culture, geography, and travel experiencesAbility to write with authority and nuance about destinations and placePracticalitiesThis role is offered on a freelance, fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave (approximately 10 months)Hybrid working model, with the expectation of approximately three days per week in the Barcelona office and two days per week remoteCandidates must have the right to work in Spain and be able to freelance legally from BarcelonaOccasional opportunities for familiarisation (FAM) trips to Italy may be offered to deepen product knowledge and support content authenticityFreelance retainer: €4,000 per monthHow to applyPlease email the following to line: Senior Copywriter – Maternity CoverCV outlining relevant experienceCover letter explaining your interest in the role and your suitabilityA short, tailored portfolio (PDF or document, not a website link), including 3–5 relevant writing examplesselected specifically for Tuscany Now & MoreApplications that do not include a tailored portfolio may not be considered.
