ph3Business Solution Architect – PLM / PP-CO /h3h3Job Summary /h3pThe Business Architect's architecture is the "connective tissue" that integrates strategies across multiple programs and projects and ensures alignment with business strategies and outcomes. This "connective tissue" is a series of explicit graphical models that define and describe the goals the business is trying to achieve, the processes needed to meet these goals, the data required, and the roles and responsibilities involved. A key focus of this role is on Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Bill of Materials (BOM), Product Design, and Financial Product Costing, ensuring end-to-end alignment between product definition, engineering, manufacturing, and financial performance across the product lifecycle. Architects design processes and documentation that align business practices with strategic goals. The role involves leading implementations, optimizing supply chain processes, and integrating AI technologies to enhance business planning and decision-making. They produce supporting materials such as maps, models, process diagrams, and presentations to communicate their vision and guide stakeholders. They also support consultations to assess business capabilities, define goals, and communicate designs to executives, managers, and end users. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliStrategy Vision: Develop the architecture vision and roadmap for the product lifecycle and product costing process transformation, aligning with enterprise and stakeholder goals. Manage the process of identifying opportunities, threats and limitations of the organization and providing insights into the required work to facilitate implementation. /liliDesign Architecture: Create detailed system designs, blueprints, and models for complex supply chain processes, including application considerations (SAP IBP, S/4HANA, MS4, etc.). Research and recommend new technologies (AI, analytics etc.) to improve efficiency and innovation. /liliBusiness Case Development: Guide investment and ensure new work is consistent with the investment strategy of the organization. Improve decision making on what to work on by ensuring all costs to manifest value are understood. /liliIntegration Leadership: Partner with business leaders, enterprise architects, and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. Design integration strategies, data contracts, and APIs for seamless data flow between SAP and non-SAP systems. /liliGovernance Standards: Lead design governance, ensuring solutions meet security, reliability, and scalability standards. /liliStakeholder Collaboration: Establish and maintain contacts within business units and information system teams to understand business processes and business drivers, business requirements, solutions strategies, alternatives, etc., being considered and/or implemented.
