We are looking for a flexible and motivated QA Engineer based in Madrid ( or willing to relocate) who is eager to learn, adapt, and work with modern testing tools and practices. The scope of this role is part of a strategic project with one of our banking clients, where we are transitioning from their internal setup to a near-shore engagement with Netcentric as the sole provider. You will perform iteration testing (Component, System, Integration, Smoke, Regression), ensure accessibility compliance, and introduce/maintain automation for core functionality. Working closely with developers, BAs, and PMs, you’ll drive high-quality releases and contribute to continuous QA improvements. The tool stack includes Wave (accessibility), Applitools (UI), Selenium (automation), and JavaScript frameworks like Cypress.js/Playwright. Madrid based hybrid contract with 3 days in the office. Desired Skills and Experience • Good knowledge of Java OOP, • Experience with Selenium WebDriver (and other similar tools), • Knowledge of JavaScript-based frameworks such as Cypress.js / Playwright, • Knowledge of design patterns and clean code best practices, • Knowledge of visual testing and UI testing tools (Applitools), • Good understanding of how automation fits in the SDLC, • Familiarity with build tools (Maven, Gradle or similar), • Knowledge of Git and version control best practices, • Understanding of web technologies and application testing methodologies, • 4+ years of experience with various testing methodologies (functional, system, integration, regression), • Strong attention to detail, • Experience working with Jira or other task/bug management tools, • Strong verbal and written English skills, • Ability to work independently with a proactive mindset, • Enthusiasm, empathy, and being a true team player, • Eligibility to work within the EU and/or Switzerland, • Open-minded, feedback-oriented, and continuously striving for improvement What makes us smile when looking at your profile... • ISEB/ISTQB Foundation level certification, • A vocational QA mindset and passion for quality, • Additional language skills (German or Spanish would be a plus), • If you are someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is passionate about delivering high-quality solutions, then this role could be the perfect fit for you.
