Handle stock & expenses and manage the relationship with our events suppliers & contractors. Ensure our space is set to impress from first light, to close of play, with everything in-between. Keep on top of our meeting room maintenance and ensuring all the rooms are set up correctly, with billing and checking in and out for events are smooth. Liaise closely with our Groups and Events team and work closely with the rest of the hotel team to ensure you are providing a great experience for our guests, from first contact to when they go and beyond. Take overall responsibility for the health & safety of anyone using the area, including yourself. Provide a secure environment for customers and their property. What we’re looking for… Individuals. You’re looking for a place where you can be you; no clones in suits here. Passion for hospitality – whether that’s a drink, a meal, an event or a bed for the night. You’re all about having a positive impact on the people you interact with, leaving them with a memorable experience. You’re not precious. We leave our egos at the door and help get things done. You’re up for doing things differently and trying (almost) everything once. If we got stuck in a lift together, we’d have a good time and share a few laughs. You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and has fun along the way. Previous experience in a similar hospitality event operations management role in a busy, bustling environment. You’ve possibly worked in restaurant groups, hotels or contract events catering before. Having used Micros or a similar operating system would be a big advantage. You are the person that knows everyone, and they all know you. Nothing is an issue for you, you know what our guests want even before they do. Someone who’s great at growing and nurturing long lasting relationships; people are naturally drawn to work with you. You pay attention to the details and care about creating a memorable guest experience. Must be fluent in Spanish and English. Catalan and additional languages will be highly valuable.
