RunThrough is one of the world's biggest running events companies: around 400 events a year, from city 10Ks to mountain ultras. Our European business runs out of Annecy and is the fastest-growing part of the company, trail races in France, Switzerland, Spain, Italy and Germany plus a growing portfolio of park and road events. 10 events in 2026, up to 18 in 2027. We are looking for someone who lives for outdoor sports, events, loves to travel and gets a buzz out of getting people moving. You'll be fluent in French and English, a brilliant communicator, and ready to help us to inspire active nations across Europe as part of a fast-growing global business. Purpose of the Role: Deliver the operational detail behind RunThrough's European events, the event village, the vendors, the kit and the product. Up to 18 events in 2027, roughly 60 event days on site at locations across Europe and the UK. Responsibilities: Event Village • Manage the event village for all European events - start/finish, registration, bag drop, food & beverage etc., • Help to plan event village layouts and branding requirements for new events., • Brief and manage a freelance EV staff, marshalls and volunteers., • Encourage runners and create a positive atmosphere for everyone. Vendors and Suppliers • Book all vendors: toilets, barriers, F&B, MC, photo and video, entertainment., • Negotiate and manage vendor relationships across venues., • Clearly communicate requirements and expectations with all event village suppliers. Procurement and Logistics • Order all products for finish lines and aid stations., • Work with freelance logistics staff to manage stock levels against the event calendar., • Assist with packing vans, driving to storage and receiving deliveries at our Annecy storage unit., • Manage stock and ensure that inventory is up to date and accurate. People • Line management of a placement student covering volunteer recruitment and admin support., • Communicating and managing volunteers and marshalls in lead up to events and during event days., • Working remotely with the UK team - opportunities to spend time in the UK offices and at events to develop skillset and learn process. Requirements: Essential • Fluent French and English., • Full driving licence, comfortable driving vans significant distances to events., • Event operations experience, build, delivery, breakdown., • Passion for outdoor sports and running., • Willing to work weekends and travel across Europe around the event calendar., • Excellent time management,communication and attention to detail. Desirable • Mass participation or endurance events background., • Experience managing volunteers or junior staff., • Second European language (German, Italian or Spanish given the venue map)., • Experience having taken part in or volunteered at sporting events., • Ability to work as part of a small team in a fast paced, rapidly developing environment.
