Role: PLM Functional Architect Duration: Permanent Location: Toulouse, France Technology –PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) Job Description • Initiate impact analysis (architecture) to identify all dependencies (IT and Business)., • Prepare integrated Design of Architecture (Product and/or Service impacted & High Level design) to support several initiatives needs., • Secure IT disaster recovery readiness to support business continuity requirements., • Collaborate with product owner and epic architects and formulate features and user stories., • Works closely with the Business owners and Architects of different products to design the functional behavior for a transverse business capabilities, • Collaborate with architects and distributed agile feature teams to create and implement innovative high-quality solutions., • To do critical review and challenge to the product/domain architects to see potential issues and propose alternate solutions, • Understand the PLM functional landscape of the client and formulate the future roadmap based on the enterprise vision., • Being a part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent., • At least 10-15 years of experience in PLM Functional domain, with at least 5-10 years of Functional Architecture in Airbus., • Should have led/participated in the transverse architecture for 5+ years, • Strong functional knowledge on 3D Experience., • Airbus domain knowledge- Product Structure (EBOM), CAD BOM, DMU, Change and Configuration Management, • Transverse functional knowledge on Airbus PLM landscape (including PASS SSI, VPM/Optegra/CADINT, APS, PS SSI, DMU/TreND, PDMLink CC, AIRINA, LTA4ALL etc.), • Strong knowledge of SSI domain, • Product structure & Configuration management principles, • Release process and versioning process, • System(Equipment) Installation process, • Interaction with CAD/TDM/Conf-Mgmt/DMU Toolsets, • Good knowledge on transverse processes like BASIC, Full3D, Long Term Archiving (LTA3D), ESI Design Automation, PZ/RPZ management would be a plus, • Downstream feeding to AIRINA, Manufacturing and Customer Services toolsets, • Good knowledge on the Elec domain, • Good knowledge on the integration activities beyond Architecture especially strategizing test strategy ( including data, land-scape , scenarios) for a complex release, • Awareness of Agile/SAFe methodologies, • Awareness of the Lean PLM SA project would be a plus, • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement), • Excellent communication and leadership skills, • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability, • Outstanding organizational skills Responsibilities: • Conduct workshops with business and other stakeholders to understand/define the complex business requirements., • Work closely with the Architects of different Products/ARTs to define/review/challenge the transverse E2E solution, • Analyze the impacts on the PLM tool sets in the E2E application landscape., • Perform impact analysis of AS-IS vs TO-BE landscape and define target functional architecture., • Analyze the Systems in Context to foresee impacts in the E2E solution., • Evaluate impacts on Interfaces of different PLM toolsets and downstream products, • Propose different solution options and its associated impacts, • Conduct brainstorming sessions/workshops with various Product owners and Architects to discuss different solution proposals and help to finalize the optimum solution., • Transform the business requirements into a Concept Solution to produce a CPD., • Explain the detailed target solution to the impacted Products/ARTs team., • Review Concept Solution dossiers for the impacts Products in the E2E solution, • Maintain RIA tracker related to Solution Architecture open points., • Review the Test Strategies / Test scenarios / use cases, • Identify and promote re-use of existing components / COTS solutions, • Share best practices and be consultative to clients throughout the project lifecycle, • Enabling new team members on domain/functional knowledge
