The position entails working closely with the owners and the head chef, running the business on a day-to-day basis.
The ideal candidate will possess a true passion and knowledge for food and a love of wine. Experience in training and developing a team is required as is a hands-on approach to the business, operations and a strong eye for detail. Lyon’s is a busy, fast paced restaurant which requires a manager who is driven.
Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring a smooth and efficient service, delivering and upholding standards.
  • Supervise and lead a team of staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
  • Oversee training of current and new team members, assist in developing innovative ways to impart knowledge.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, striving to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies for improving service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Oversee rotas and wage costs.


Requirements
  • Proven experience in a restaurant management role, or equivalent, within a fast-paced, high standard restaurant.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Knowledge of H&S regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
