We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality meals to our guests in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety practices.
Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setting up workstations and cleaning up after service.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
