The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, a passion for Indian cuisine, and a commitment to maintaining high culinary standards. Prepare and cook a range of dishes in the tandoor oven, including Tandoori Chicken, Tandoori Lamb Chops, Naan bread, and various kebabs. Marinate meats and vegetables using traditional Indian spices and yogurt-based marinades to ensure rich, authentic flavors. Monitor the tandoor oven’s temperature and adjust as needed to cook dishes perfectly. Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and refine the tandoori section of the menu, introducing new dishes and enhancing existing ones. Experiment with different spices, flavors, and techniques to create unique and innovative tandoori dishes. Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Regularly taste and adjust seasonings to maintain consistency and flavor in all tandoori dishes. Inspect the freshness and quality of ingredients before use, ensuring that they meet the restaurant’s standards. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following all food safety and hygiene regulations. Assist in ordering and managing inventory for tandoori ingredients and supplies. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in tandoori cooking techniques and kitchen safety.
