We are currently seeking a Maintenance Assistant to work across our three sites, Fallow & Fowl in Central London and Roe in Canary Wharf. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Maintenance and should have a background either as a skilled handyman or as maintenance assistant and bring energy, initiative, and a problem-solving mindset to every task. Key responsibilities: • Support day-to-day maintenance needs across all three restaurant sites., • Carry out basic repairs including plumbing, electrics, carpentry, and decoration., • Source and collect materials or parts needed for tasks., • Maintain workshop tools and stock, ensuring efficient organisation., • Support with larger projects such as equipment installation or overnight works., • Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally, and with minimal disruption. About you: • Hands-on experience with plumbing and electrical repairs., • Competent in using hand and power tools (e.g. drills, angle grinders, multi-tools)., • Skilled in painting and decorating, with a keen eye for detail., • Familiar with commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, refrigeration, and gas systems., • Organized and proactive, with good time management and communication skills. This role primarily involves hands-on maintenance tasks, comprising about 60-70% of the job, with the remainder dedicated to guest interactions, including communication, check-ins, and property inspections. Key Responsibilities Maintenance (Main Focus): • Perform general handyman and maintenance tasks, such as minor plumbing, basic electrical work, repairs, painting, snagging, and furniture assembly., • Swiftly identify and resolve issues, escalating to the Maintenance Manager when necessary., • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure they are in top condition., • Assist with urgent maintenance issues and coordinate with contractors as directed by the Maintenance Manager., • Ensure all properties are safe, fully functional, and ready for guests. Guest & Operations Support: • Engage with guests before, during, and after their stay to ensure a pleasant experience., • Meet guests for check-ins, give property tours, and address any inquiries they may have., • Serve as the primary contact for guests during their stay, resolving any issues promptly., • Inspect properties post-cleaning to ensure cleanliness and standards are upheld., • Coordinate cleaning schedules and manage supplies. Requirements • Proven experience in maintenance or handyman roles is essential., • Comfortable with face-to-face interactions with guests., • Experience in short-lets, hospitality, or property management is advantageous., • Must be practical, organized, and capable of working independently. ** You will need to have a motorbike drivers licence to drive a scooter or at least be able to use an electric bike to navigate quickly between our apartments in Central London. Salary • This is a full-time position with a salary ranging from £24,000 to £30,000 per year + Bonus (OTE £45000), depending on experience and based in London.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced carpenter to join our team. You will work on a variety of commercial and public building projects throughout London, focusing on both planned and reactive maintenance, as well as refurbishments and general carpentry tasks. Responsibilities • Install and repair fire doors, frames, partitions, skirtings, and timber structures., • Conduct refurbishment works, including minor repairs, basic painting, and finishing tasks., • Attend client sites for planned and reactive maintenance., • Collaborate professionally with site managers, subcontractors, and clients., • Ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety requirements. Requirements Experience & Skills • Proven carpentry experience., • Multi-trade skills are advantageous., • Ability to complete work to a high standard and within set timeframes. Qualifications • Valid CSCS Card (required)., • NVQ, City & Guilds, or similar qualifications are preferred.
