Temaki Mayfair | New Opening


Temaki Mayfair is looking for a Junior Sous Chef with a strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine to join our leadership team for an exciting new restaurant opening in the heart of Mayfair.


This is a hands-on role suited to a motivated chef ready to take the next step, supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef while maintaining high standards across the kitchen.



Key Details


  • Interviews start: 19th January
  • Planned opening: Around 10th February
  • Location: Mayfair, London
  • Position: Junior Sous Chef (Full-time)

Responsibilities


  • Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations
  • Running sections confidently during service
  • Ensuring high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
  • Assisting with staff training, mentoring, and development
  • Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organisation
  • Contributing to prep planning and service flow

What We’re Looking For


  • Strong knowledge and experience in Japanese cuisine
  • Previous experience as a Senior CDP or Junior Sous Chef
  • Excellent knife skills and product understanding
  • Calm, organised approach in a fast-paced environment
  • Leadership potential with a positive, professional attitude
