Key Responsibilities • Support the Culinary Director in managing the day-to-day kitchen operations., • Lead, motivate and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring high standards of performance and teamwork., • Prepare and oversee the preparation of authentic Indian dishes, ensuring consistency, quality and presentation., • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Indian ingredients, spices, marinades, cooking techniques and traditional recipes., • Ensure all food is prepared and presented to the required standards., • Take an active role in menu development, recipe creation and seasonal menu changes., • Monitor food costs, portion control, stock levels and wastage., • Oversee deliveries, stock rotation and proper food storage., • Ensure full compliance with food safety, health and safety and hygiene regulations., • Maintain a clean, organised and well-managed kitchen at all times., • Support the training and development of junior chefs. Skills & Qualifications • 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef, or senior Chef de Partie in a high-volume kitchen, preferably within casual dining, fast-casual, or lifestyle-driven restaurants., • Strong culinary skills and a solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards., • Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene certificate (Level 3 is a plus)., • Experience training and motivating kitchen team members, with the ambition to grow into a Head Chef role., • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills, staying calm and in control during busy services., • Familiarity with kitchen management tools and operational systems (ordering, stock, and food safety records)., • Strong communication skills with a collaborative, team-first approach., • Passion for food, sustainability, and delivering exceptional guest experiences., • Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus.
