Salary: £38,000–£45,000 per year (depending on experience)
Job Summary
As a Mechanic, you will inspect, diagnose, service, and repair a range of vehicles while ensuring all work is completed to a high standard. You will work as part of a friendly team in a professional workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintain cars and light commercial vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
- Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
- Replace worn or damaged parts.
- Perform vehicle safety checks and road tests when required.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults.
- Complete work efficiently and maintain accurate job records.
- Keep the workshop clean and follow all health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a vehicle mechanic.
- Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good time management and communication skills.
- Relevant automotive qualifications are preferred.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
