As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor with a solid background in roofing and cladding to join our team and contribute to our continued success. The Role You will play a key role in preparing accurate estimates, pricing tenders, and managing costs across roofing and cladding packages. You will work closely with directors, project managers, suppliers, and clients to ensure profitability and successful project delivery from pre-construction through to final account. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed estimates for roofing, cladding, and façade packages Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documents Carry out material take-offs and create accurate BOQs Source and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for competitive pricing Assess risk and provide value engineering suggestions Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle, including variations and valuations Submit interim and final applications for payment Support contract negotiations and procurement activities Attend site visits and pre-start meetings when required What We are Looking For Minimum 3 years’ experience in estimating or quantity surveying within roofing and cladding Strong technical knowledge of roofing/cladding systems and materials (zinc, aluminium, rainscreen, standing seam, etc.) Confident with take-offs, pricing, and contract admin Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail Ability to read and understand architectural and structural drawings Proficient in Excel and estimating software Strong written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated, reliable, honest and well-organised Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Construction (HNC, HND or degree) RICS/CIOB accreditation (desirable but not essential) Reliability Shows up on time, every day. Skilled and experienced Multi Trader required for busy maintenance company. We cover a wider variety of services for both letting agencies, private landlords and home owners. Office based in IG10 (Loughton) with works carried out in London and Essex. Good spoken and written English required, as position is client facing and job reports will be required. Duties will include general maintenance and decorating, basic plumbing and electrical works. Experience in basic tiling, plastering and gardening would be useful, but not essential. Candidates will need to be able to work unsupervised and as part of a team, as well as using own initiative to solve issues on site when required. Trial and probation period will apply. Job Type: Full-time Pay: £140.00-£160.00 per day

As part of the team, you will be able to work in a group or under your own initiative to achieve project objectives, being proactive in your role that requires experience in all aspects of property repair and maintenance. This would include excellent quality standard in painting/decorating, installing plasterboard and create smooth, seamless surfaces for subsequent finishing work, fitting fire-doors, kitchen fitting and general property maintenance/repairs. Other works include first fix stud work, second fix, skirting, architrave, hanging doors and fitting locks, ceiling works, building partitions, etc. The ideal candidate must have a flexible attitude to work as required when necessary to complete jobs to tight deadlines. Essential Qualifications/Experience Proven experience as a Carpenter/Joiner/Dry Liner/General Builder, or similar role Multi-trade experience, with the ability to undertake a range of building and maintenance tasks Knowledge of building materials and their properties and strong understanding of techniques and materials Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools Have a majority of your own tools Main Responsibilities Be reliable and have a positive attitude. Able to produce a high standard of work. Adhere to health and safety guidelines and maintain a clean working environment Maintain tools and equipment in good working order Strong time management to arrive on site on time and complete tasks efficiently You will be joining a growing, friendly team. · Candidates must be prepared to travel. · Hold a clean UK driving licence.
