We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care and education to children, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment that supports their physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will work closely with other staff members to foster a positive learning experience for the children and maintain strong communication with parents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Childcare and Education:
• Plan and deliver a variety of activities and learning experiences that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
• Support children’s development in a safe and secure environment, catering to individual needs and promoting inclusivity.
• Monitor and assess children’s progress, keeping accurate records and sharing updates with parents and caregivers.
• Safety and Wellbeing:
• Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Implement hygiene and safety practices such as proper handwashing, meal/snack preparation, and emergency procedures.
• Administer first aid when necessary, and promptly report any concerns or incidents.
• Teamwork and Collaboration:
• Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive work environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development activities.
• Parental Engagement:
• Build strong relationships with parents, providing feedback on their child’s development, achievements, and any concerns.
• Respond to parents’ queries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Administrative Duties:
• Maintain records of children’s daily activities and development milestones.
• Assist with the preparation and tidying up of the nursery environment, ensuring all resources are clean, well-maintained, and safe for use.
