Chaston Nursery is a private daycare nursery setting for children aged 3 months to 5 years. We are located just between Kentish Town and Chalk Farm and are fortunate to have a variety of transport options, including being right on the 46/24 bus route as well as a variety of tube and train options close by. We are open for a 10 hr day and require practitioners to complete an 8 hour shift daily from Monday to Friday. Early Childhood Lead Educator o To lead, support, supervise, and inspire the staff in their room to ensure best practices with children. o Liaise frequently with the wider management team within the setting to ensure the curriculum is being implemented to a high quality. o To ensure the learning environment is well-resourced and set up to reflect an enabling environment for children. o To support and work as part of a whole team to deliver and meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage for all children. o Plan, provide, and support age-appropriate play opportunities in accordance with the curriculum and individual needs of the children in your care. o To support staff’s practice to ensure the best outcomes for children. o To ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all children in your care is being met. o To be a key person to an allocated number of children. o To observe, assess and record children’s learning and development progress. o To ensure all record keeping for a given room is kept up to date, including children’s development records, daily records, risk assessments, and accident sheets (this will also be carried out by management). o To build and maintain positive relationships with children and their parents/carers. o To adhere to and follow the setting’s policies and procedures. o To ensure confidentiality is always adhered to. o To attend team meetings, settings meetings and training days. We are currently looking for an energetic and passionate Manager to teach & inspire small groups of 7-11 & 12-18 year olds at our Canary Wharf/ Isle of Dogs school on a Saturday. The successful candidate would have good teaching experience in either electric guitar, bass guitar, drums or vocals, and a passion for teaching children aged 7+. They are required to drive to the venue and is responsible for the set up, run and logistics of the session, with help of a Session Assistant. This position involves working with children therefore the successful applicant will be required to apply for an enhanced DBS disclosure, or already hold one that has been issued within the last 3 years.
