Every role here plays a part in building a world where prevention is the norm, and where your work genuinely helps people live longer, healthier lives. \n Role Purpose \n This role sits between scheduling, operations, and payroll to keep variable-hours pay accurate for Neko's UK clinical frontline staff. It combines hands-on data reconciliation with direct query resolution, so Quinyx and ADP stay aligned and pay runs are clean the first time. Tech-Enabled, Human-Centred shows up directly here: the systems only work if someone applies judgment to the data they produce and can explain a pay outcome clearly to the person affected by it. \n This role will is a 12 month FTC. \n What You'll Deliver Over the 12-Month Engagement \n\n • Reconcile Quinyx timesheet and scheduling data against actuals ahead of each pay run, catching discrepancies before they reach ADP.\n, • Own variable-hours data preparation (overtime, shift uplifts, premiums, adjustments) through to processing.\n, • Set up and maintain Quinyx shift patterns, pay rules, and employee records, resolving issues as they surface.\n, • Resolve payroll queries from frontline staff and managers directly, investigating root cause and explaining outcomes clearly (Member-first, Always).\n, • Identify and propose at least one process improvement to hours tracking or payroll data visibility.\n\n Minimum Qualifications \n\n • Hands-on UK payroll experience, including variable hours, overtime, and shift uplifts.\n, • Experience with ADP or a comparable payroll platform, feeding data into a live pay run.\n, • Strong data reconciliation skills, confident across spreadsheets and workforce or scheduling systems.\n, • Working knowledge of UK pay rules and Working Time Regulations.\n, • Clear, direct communicator, comfortable resolving pay queries one to one with staff.\n\n Preferred Qualifications \n\n • Quinyx experience.\n, • Experience with shift-based, healthcare, or clinical workforce.\n\n About titles at Neko \n We use a simplified internal title framework that prioritises clarity over hierarchy, so internal titles may differ from market-facing role titles. We're looking for a Product Development Specialist to join our Wordings & Product team. You'll bring hands-on commercial underwriting and policy wording experience — as well as a genuine passion for building products that truly serve our customers. You'll work alongside our Business Insurance Leadership team, bringing technical product and underwriting expertise to shape, design, and evolve our product portfolio. What Will You Do? • Support the Technical Product development for new or updated products, working closely with the Subject Matter Expert (Portfolio/Product Manager, Managing/Senior Underwriter)., • Deliver the following, within agreed timelines, for new/updated products:, • Underwriting: development of appropriate appetite, underwriting parameters including capacity deployment, line size, new and renewal program rules, question sets, ensure reinsurance cover alignment, and, risk survey parameters for product lines or industries., • Wordings: using customer research completed by the Propositions and SMEs team, design the scope of wording (e.g. necessary extensions, conditions, exclusions). Once Wordings team has drafted the full wording, ensure these are robust, customer centric, and align with underwriting methodology and systems., • Product supporting materials: Draft Technical Collaterals (i.e. Product UW guides/guidance/bulletins) and update as part of the product development process. Draft technical product underwriter training. Prepare collaterals to support the review and agreement of aspects of the technical product development process noted above., • Technology: provide technical consultation on the design and implementation process of the technology platform to ensure successful integration or conversion of the new or updated product including IT scope (e.g. Management Information requirements, Policy Schedule design and production, Product configuration) and oversight the testing of UW systems., • To deliver on the above you will have the support of the SMEs, Underwriting Officers, Wordings team, Product team, IT, and other necessary areas of the organisation., • Provide technical consultation to Propositions and SMEs regarding the review of competitor information., • Contribute to the development of technical underwriting /broker training material to accompany product launch and assist with delivery as required by the SME., • Maintain a log of approvals for the technical work to satisfy governance requirements. Provide input to progress reports as needed., • Ensure that you keep abreast of market activity with regards the product content across first and third-party lines of business., • Have an understanding of the reinsurance treaty policy content requirements and restrictions across BI., • Perform other duties as assigned. What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have? • Solid insurance underwriting experience., • Thorough understanding of Business Insurance products, systems, contracts, forms, coverage, distribution channels, regulatory environment and insurance financials., • Very strong verbal and written communications skills., • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and adapt as required., • Ability to communicate at all levels and manage stakeholder expectations., • Good level of proficiency required in the following: Financial Acumen, Presentation Skills, Networking, Risk Selection and Critical and Analytical Thinking., • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint., • ACII qualifications. What is a Must Have? • Previous Insurance experience with good knowledge of product, underwriting or coverage.
