Albion Estate | In-House Legal & Contracts Administrator Location: London, UK Job Type: Full-time Company: Albion Estate Languages: English, Russian Salary: Competitive from £35,000 About the Role Albion Estate is looking for an experienced, commercially minded, and detail-focused In-House Legal & Contracts Administrator to support the business across contracts, legal administration, risk control, and internal legal processes. This is a key role for a candidate with at least 5 years of legal experience who is capable of managing a broad range of legal and contractual matters across the business. The successful candidate will be responsible not only for preparing and reviewing documentation, but also for strengthening internal legal processes, supporting dispute prevention and pre-litigation matters, and helping protect the company from operational and contractual risk. We are looking for someone who combines strong legal drafting skills with sharp commercial judgment, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to think proactively, strategically, and outside the box. Key ResponsibilitiesContracts and Legal Documentation • Draft, review, amend, and manage a wide range of legal and commercial documents, • Prepare employment contracts, consultancy agreements, subcontractor agreements, supplier agreements, NDAs, service agreements, and work execution contracts, • Support the business in preparing legally sound documentation for ongoing operations and new business activities, • Maintain contract templates and improve document standardisation across the company, • Ensure all contracts are properly executed, filed, tracked, and stored in line with internal proceduresLettings and Property-Related Legal Administration, • Support the legal side of residential lettings administration, including tenancy documentation and related contractual matters, • Prepare and review tenancy agreements, renewals, addenda, notices, and supporting legal documentation, • Ensure paperwork is complete, compliant, and aligned with operational processes, • Support internal teams in managing documentation across the tenancy lifecyclePre-Litigation and Dispute Support, • Handle pre-litigation matters, legal correspondence, formal notices, and document preparation relating to disputes, • Assist with the management of claims, complaints, contractual breaches, and legal escalations, • Work on dispute prevention by ensuring documents, processes, and communications are properly structured from the outset, • Coordinate with external legal advisors where required and prepare internal case files and supporting materialsInternal Legal Processes and Risk Protection, • Build, improve, and maintain internal legal and contractual processes to reduce company exposure, • Review existing business practices and identify legal, contractual, and procedural risks, • Help implement safeguards, approval processes, and internal controls to protect the business from avoidable legal issues, • Support management in creating a more robust legal framework across operations, people, suppliers, and partners, • Ensure the business is better protected in relation to documentation, obligations, liabilities, and disputesCompliance, Control, and Administration, • Keep legal records, contract registers, and document databases organised and up to date, • Monitor important deadlines, renewals, notice periods, document expiries, and legal follow-ups, • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail across all legal and contractual workflows, • Support the business with structured legal administration and reporting where requiredRequirements, • Minimum 5 years of legal experience, • Strong background in drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts and formal legal documentation, • Experience with employment contracts, subcontractor agreements, service contracts, and broader commercial legal documentation, • Exposure to pre-litigation, dispute support, legal correspondence, or claim preparation, • Strong understanding of risk prevention and internal legal process development, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Outstanding organisational ability and document control discipline, • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously while maintaining precision and professionalism, • Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance legal protection with business practicalityKey Personal Qualities, • Exceptional attention to detail, • Ability to see matters from a 360-degree perspective, • Strong out-of-the-box thinking, • Highly proactive and solution-oriented, • Able to identify risks before they become problems, • Structured, reliable, and calm under pressure, • Strong sense of ownership and accountability, • Professional judgment and discretion in handling sensitive mattersPreferred Background, • Experience in real estate, property, lettings, construction, or commercial operations, • Experience working in-house or closely with operational business teams, • Familiarity with UK contractual and business administration practices, • Experience helping companies improve legal structure and internal protection mechanismsWhy Join Albion Estate, • This is an opportunity to take on a meaningful in-house legal and contracts role within a growing business, where your work will directly contribute to stronger legal protection, better structure, and safer commercial operations.
