DETAILS OF THE ROLE: - The purpose of this role is to carry out full valets on cars as required ensuring all Health and Safety procedures are taken. - As a Valeter you will be expected to meet team deadlines and will support other members of the Valeting Bay MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Carry out exterior/interior valets on cars using cleaning processes and standards set by management. - Clean the exteriors of vehicles using high-pressure hoses, dry them with chamois leathers, apply wax, and polish them by hand or with an electric buffer. - Apply gels and other finish products to bumpers and trims and spray rubber dressing on the side walls of tyres. - Interior work includes vacuuming, shampooing carpets and seats, and using chemicals to lift stains. - Clean the dashboard and trims with cleaning agents and dress or polish the windows, dashboard and trims. May also steam clean engines. - Duties include moving and drive vehicles around if/when required, observing the signage and keeping speed limits HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES: - It is each employee’s responsibility to ensure that the environment in which they work in is safe for them and others. - This includes reporting all accidents and near misses to management. - Reporting any potential issues which could cause harm. - Behave in a manner, which acts in line with the standards set out in the Health and Safety Manual and Company Handbook ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: - Have a Full & Valid, Manual Driving Licence . - Physically able/fit enough to undertake car cleaning duties throughout each working day - To have work boots suitable for wet environments. - Ability to follow instructions - Ability to work at the pace set by the department
