We’re Hachiko – a brand new Japanese fusion restaurant in the heart of Tunbridge Wells. With an emphasis on bold flavours, elegant presentation, and creative cocktails, we’re bringing something fresh and modern to the local dining scene.
We're now looking for a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our team and help shape our menu and kitchen culture.
Your Role:
Prepare high-quality sushi, sashimi, maki, and other Japanese-inspired dishes
Prepare and maintain hot section
Maintain excellent food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards
Ensure speed, precision, and presentation meet the restaurant’s standards
Be able to create a menu and seasonal specials
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience as a Sushi Chef in a professional kitchen
Understanding of sushi techniques, knife skills, and fresh ingredient handling
Passion for Japanese cuisine and willingness to bring creativity to a fusion menu
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
