SUMMARY OF POSITION Clays floor teams are collaborative with a group of highly skilled individuals who are heavily cross trained. Clays offer a unique experience and we therefore have a unique role and requirements, this is where our Shoot Captains come in. Our Shoot Captains are the soul of our competitive socialising experience. You will bring the experience to life for our guests. For this role, We are looking for exuberant individuals with big personalities who always bring the fun and positive energy. You will run a section of our gaming pegs and control the entire guests journey for multiple groups throughout the operation. Previous hosting experience will really help you in this role. You will be expected to introduce the game, set guests up on the system and get them started. Show them how to use our Food & Beverage kiosks and support them in food and drinks orders. As well as ensuring that they are looked after with our 12 steps of service at every stage of their experience. You will understand our bookings system and how to manage the entire bookings journey, whilst also being an expert in our food & beverage operations, ensuring service is delivered to all gaming pegs in your section. You will be a critical piece of the front of house team, always looking for opportunities to enhance the guest experience, giving hints tips and guidance, driving peoples competitive spirit and engaging them in the game. Main Purpose The Other Palace is looking for motivated and enthusiastic Restaurant Team members for our first in house restaurant. This is an invaluable role where you will provide excellent customer service and support our kitchen team in making sure all food orders are taken accurately, (most importantly allergen information), as well as ensuring the front of house area is kept clean and inviting to all guests as well as providing a friendly, vibrant atmosphere. This is a split role, so duties will also include working in the kitchen, so experience of food preparation and food hygiene will be required and further training in this can be provided if necessary. The Restaurant Team are an integral part of the restaurant, ensuring we always adhere to high food hygiene and service standards. The Other Palace are firm believers in creating a ‘family feel’, where being supported in personal and career development will always be catered for where possible. General Information The Other Palace is operated as part of Bill Kenwright Ltd. One of the largest commercial theatre producers in the UK. The Other Palace is a lively, friendly, and inventive venue in London Victoria, featuring a 312-seat main theatre and a 120-seat studio theatre as well as a bar and restaurant. The venue is a place where the next generation of theatre-makers are encouraged, supported, and celebrated with a particular emphasis on new musical theatre. In October 2021 The Other Palace was acquired by Bill Kenwright Ltd from Andrew Lloyd Webbers LW Theatres Group. The venue both produces its own productions as well as hosting and supporting new writing, new musicals, workshops, and engagement activities. Having previously been leased to outside caterers, this new venture sees the Restaurant being opened in house for the first time under the management of Bill Kenwright LTD. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in the start-up of our restaurant, helping to shape and nurture this empty space into a hub of the venue and become part of the ‘event’ in its own right.
