A Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting pallets from a central warehouse location , to customers or businesses. The role involves more than just driving; it requires strong time management, customer service, and organizational skills. Key Responsibilities: -Loading and Unloading: Prepare, load, and unload packages or products into the delivery vehicle safely. - **Route Planning:**Follow the most efficient routes to meet delivery schedules, using GPS or delivery apps. - Timely Deliveries :Ensure that all deliveries are made within the expected time frames. - Customer Service :Interact politely with customers, handling questions, confirming receipt of goods, and collecting signatures if required. - Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks to ensure the vehicle is in good working order (e.g., oil, tire pressure, lights). - Safety Compliance: Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure personal and public safety. - Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, fuel expenses, and any incidents that occur during shifts. Qualifications: - Valid Driver’s License: Must have a clean driving record and a valid commercial or non-commercial driver’s license. - Physical Stamina:Ability to lift and carry packages, often weighing up to 50 lbs. - Communication Skills:Clear communication is essential for working with customers and dispatch teams. - Navigation Skills:Comfortable using GPS systems or maps to navigate unfamiliar routes.

Our team is seeking experienced 7.5-tonne truck drivers to assist us with transporting our equipment to our customers all around the UK. We are a UK manufacturer for Scaffold towers and Ladders, and we run, our own fleet of vehicles to do our own deliveries. We cover the whole of the UK, including Scotland. So our delivery routes can vary from 1 day routes - to 4 Day routes. Our lorry's have sleepers in them, for when drivers go out for 1 night or more at a time. Minimum Requirements Licence to driver 7.5 tonne lorry 21 years of age minimum No more than six points for minor endorsements Digital Tacho and Driver Qualification Cards A good understanding of Drivers hours, regulations, and Working time directive Excellent geographical knowledge Customer focused attitude and a natural passion for customer service Physically able to lift, load and off load items on the lorry Responsibilities: Offer a friendly service to our customers when delivering their orders Use our company app to view the customer information and mark off their deliveries/get signatures & photos contact customers via phone/message upon arrival of their delivery. Keep in contact with the customer service team, to ensure delivery slots are kept to, or customers are aware of any potential delays on your journey We are passionate about the products we manufacture on site here, and our delivery service has to reflect our business. This is for a full time position with our company. PAYE. We have enough work on now, due to expansion, to ensure you have contracted work 5 days per week.
