We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly Waitress to join our team at Mumbai Square. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Waitress, you will play a key role in ensuring our guests have an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet guests promptly and courteously, presenting menus and providing detailed information when asked (e.g., about portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies).
Order Taking: Accurately take food and beverage orders, relaying them promptly to the kitchen and bar.
Service Delivery: Serve food and beverages in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and quality presentation.
Guest Interaction: Check in with guests to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
Up-selling: Make recommendations and inform guests of special menu items, promotions, or restaurant events.
Payment Processing: Prepare checks and process guest payments using POS systems.
Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and floors. Ensure all service areas are stocked and prepared for service.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction.
Complaint Handling: Address any guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to the manager as necessary.
Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience as a waitress or in a customer service role preferred.
Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge: Familiarity with restaurant POS systems and cash handling procedures.
Appearance: Professional appearance and demeanor.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and carry heavy trays for extended periods. Must be able to handle occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
Availability: Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
