    Nursery Deputy Manager (2-5 year old setting) Location: Wallington Salary: £16 Ph Contract Type: 40 hours Per week, 4 days 7:30am-6:30pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (Tuesdays off) This is a Room based position, covering the office when the manager is not in. As a Deputy Manager, you will support the Nursery Manager in leading the day-to-day operations of the nursery, with particular focus on children aged 2–5 years. The Deputy Manager plays a key role in maintaining high standards of care, education, health and safety, and team performance in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Ofsted requirements, and nursery policies. Key responsibilities: Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing the running of the nursery and deputise in their absence. Provide leadership, mentoring, and supervision to room leaders and practitioners in the 2–5 years provision. Ensure a high-quality EYFS curriculum is delivered that supports the learning and development of all children aged 2–5. Monitor planning, observations, and assessments to ensure they are consistent, accurate, and used to support individual development. Qualification and experience: Minimum level 3 qualification in Early Years or higher Paediatric First Aid, Food Safety, Allergens, H&S, Prevent, Safeguarding DSL Good knowledge of EYFS requirements Good knowledge of OFSTED requirements Good Knowledge of Health & Safety at Work Extensive Knowledge of Safeguarding Job Type: We are open 52 weeks of the year.     Commission-Only Sales Representative Proposal Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to work on a commission-only basis. This role is suitable for individuals who are confident in sourcing their own leads, managing client relationships, with guidance and strategic input from management. The role can be performed remotely (from home) or from our office, depending on the candidate’s preference and operational requirements. We are happy for applicants to choose their working hours, as long is they are suitable for both the applicant and ourselves MCS Contract Services Ltd. ⸻ Scope of Work The Sales Representative will be responsible for: - Sourcing and generating new sales leads - Planning lead generation activities in collaboration with management - Presenting and selling company services/products to prospective clients - Managing initial client communication through to job confirmation - Maintaining professional conduct and representing the company brand appropriately All sales strategies and lead-generation approaches must be aligned with management-approved plans. ⸻ Commission Structure - The Sales Representative will be paid 35% of the net profit generated from each job. - Commission applies only to the first payment received from the client for each job. - “Net profit” is defined as revenue received minus agreed direct job costs. - No basic salary, retainer, or guaranteed income is provided under this arrangement. ⸻ Payment Terms - Commission becomes payable only after the company has received payment from the client. - No commission will be paid in advance of client payment under any circumstances. - Commission payments will be processed within 7–14 business days after cleared funds have been received by the company. - Payments will be made via bank transfer (or another agreed payment method). ⸻ Working Arrangement - This is a self-managed role with flexible working hours. - The Sales Representative may work from home or from the office, subject to operational needs. - Regular check-ins and planning sessions with management will be required to align sales activities and targets. ⸻ Lead Ownership - Leads generated by the Sales Representative during their engagement remain the property of the company. - Any active or completed jobs introduced by the Sales Representative will be tracked internally for commission purposes. ⸻ Performance Expectations - Consistent lead generation and sales activity - Transparent communication with management - Accurate reporting of prospects and job status - Professional and ethical sales practices at all times ⸻ Agreement & Review This commission-only arrangement will be reviewed periodically to assess performance, profitability, and overall suitability. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the children’s home, ensuring a safe, warm, and structured environment, • Oversee staffing rotas, recruitment, and deployment to ensure consistent, high-quality care, • Manage budgets, resources, and the upkeep of the home to maintain high standards and financial sustainability Regulatory Compliance • Ensure full compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards, • Maintain inspection readiness at all times and respond effectively to Ofsted inspections and action plans, • Ensure all policies, procedures, and records meet statutory and organisational requirements Child Welfare and Care • Oversee the development, implementation, and review of individual care plans, placement plans, and risk assessments, • Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people, • Support children through emotional, behavioural, and crisis situations using trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches Staff Leadership and Development • Lead, supervise, and support a team of residential care staff, • Manage staff performance, supervision, development, and quality of care delivery, • Foster a reflective, supportive, and accountable team culture Partnership Working • Work collaboratively with social workers, local authorities, families, education providers, and health professionals, • Act as the main point of contact for external agencies and commissioners, • Advocate for children and ensure their voices are central to all decision-making What We’re Looking For • Experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a children’s residential care setting, • A completed Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Children’s Services, or enrolment with a commitment to completion within an agreed timeframe, • Strong understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted frameworks, and regulatory compliance, • A child-centred, resilient, and reflective leader with a trauma-informed approach, • Confidence in managing staff performance, supervision, and quality of care Requirements • Successful registration with Ofsted (or the ability to meet Ofsted registration requirements), • Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading, supervising, and managing a staff team within a children’s residential setting, • Completed Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management as a minimum requirement (or active enrolment within an agreed timeframe), • Proven ability to ensure compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards, • A clear and demonstrable commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people We Invite You to Apply If you are a passionate, resilient, and reflective leader who believes in providing children with safety, stability, and care that genuinely changes lives, we invite you to apply for this rewarding and impactful role.
