Nursery Manager Stellar Nursery We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Manager to join our brand new nursery. The role will suit an organised individual with a passion for early years care and education. The successful candidate will: - Ideally have a management qualification - would prefer a Qualified Teacher Status/ Early Years Professional Status/ Early Years Teacher Status or another approved level 6 qualification who will be working directly with the children. - Hold a minimum of Level 3 qualification or above in childcare and previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role. - Hold 2 years post-qualifying experience in a nursery/childcare setting. - Have a current First Aid qualification / DBSchecked and on update service - Have previous leadership or supervisory experience. - Have a sound knowledge of childcare development from birth to five years - Be passionate to work with children. - Have a desire to learn and grow. - Work closely alongside the Directors to drive the business forward. - Make all children and their families feel special every day and part of a large family. - Work closely alongside their colleagues, supporting and encouraging each other. - Be imaginative, creative, and not afraid to dress up, be covered in paint or gloop, and most importantly have fun. Manage the occupancy to ensure it shows growth and meets the business aims. - Maintain accurate accounts for the nursery and produce management information in accordance with company procedures. - Manage, monitor and control budgets and maintain petty cash systems. - To achieve and maintain high standards of care. - Identify training needs, develop a training plan and evaluate training undertaken by staff. - To effectively lead and manage the staff team including providing day-to-day guidance, supervision, mentoring, and training and support to all colleagues. - Ensuring the records are updated and maintained at a high standard throughout the setting. - Adhering to Health and Safety policies, maintaining risk assessments, and relevant policies and procedure documentation. - Working in partnership with parents/carers to best support children’s care and development. - Develop and maintain highly professional working relationships with relevant Local Authority departments, regulatory bodies and other agencies. - Liaise with external agencies to assist in obtaining advice, guidance, and intervention to support children and their families within the setting.
