Summit Aviation Ltd is an established maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) centre specialising in support for JT3D, JT8D and CFM56-3 engines. As we continue to expand our capabilities, we are seeking a skilled Workshop Technician with hands-on CFM56 experience to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities • Strip, inspect, repair and reassemble CFM56 series engines and modules to approved data., • Carry out precision measurements, defect reporting, and build documentation., • Perform engine modifications, repairs and part replacements to OEM and regulatory standards., • Assist with on wing support, as required., • Investigate and rectify technical issues, implementing corrective actions., • Support test cell operations and engine performance runs., • Proven experience working on CFM56 engines in an MRO/overhaul environment., • Strong technical skills in engine disassembly/assembly and component inspection., • Ability to interpret OEM manuals, SBs and ADs., • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality., • Familiarity with Pratt & Whitney JT8D or JT3D engines., • Knowledge of Quantum Control or similar MRO software., • Borescope Inspection experience., • Be part of an independent, specialist engine overhaul facility with decades of heritage and a strong future (EASA approval in progress)., • Competitive salary and overtime opportunities., • Ongoing training and career development in a supportive, safety-first culture.
