Key Responsibilities • Lead the month-end process, delivering timely and accurate management accounts, • Ensure robust financial controls, compliance with UK GAAP, and statutory reporting, • Own the audit process and external stakeholder relationships, • Deliver insightful management reporting, including variance and performance analysis, • Partner with operational teams to drive improved margins, cost control, and efficiency, • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning across the business, • Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, and production cost monitoring, • Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital optimisation, • Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and reporting (including ERP development), • Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and improvement Candidate Profile • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), • Proven Financial Controller experience within manufacturing, FMCG, or operational environments, • Strong technical grounding in financial control, reporting, and audit, • Experience working with ERP systems (Sage 200 advantageous), • Advanced Excel and strong analytical capability, • Ability to translate financial data into meaningful commercial insight, • Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, • Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence senior leadership, • Experience within food manufacturing or production environments is highly desirable What’s on Offer • Circa £65k Basic Salary, • Opportunity to join a growing, well-invested business with strong market presence, • A broad and visible role with genuine impact across operations and strategy Direct exposure to senior leadership and decision-making.
