Job Summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Solar Technical Auditor / Electric Qualified Supervisor to join our fast-growing renewables team. This is a full-time, field-based role responsible for conducting technical audits, inspections, and site surveys to ensure Solar PV and Battery Storage installations comply with: • Internal company procedures, • Client requirements, • Industry regulations, • Electrical safety standards You will play a critical role in maintaining quality assurance standards, identifying risks, ensuring technical compliance, and supporting continuous improvement across our renewable energy projects. Key Responsibilities • Conduct technical audits of Solar PV and Battery Storage installations., • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry best practices, and electrical standards (including BS 7671)., • Identify technical defects, safety hazards, or performance issues., • Produce detailed audit reports with clear corrective action recommendations., • Monitor remediation actions and ensure closure of audit findings., • Maintain accurate and comprehensive audit documentation and records., • Collaborate with installation teams, engineers, and project managers to resolve non-conformances., • Support training and mentoring of installation teams on quality and compliance requirements., • Review technical drawings, schematics, and project documentation., • Stay up to date with developments in solar technology, battery storage systems, and regulatory frameworks., • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying trends and recurring issues. Experience & Skills – Essential • Proven experience in Solar PV and renewable energy system installation., • Strong technical knowledge of electrical standards and safety guidelines., • Experience conducting inspections, testing, or quality assurance checks., • Ability to manage multiple audits independently and meet deadlines., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills., • Confident written and verbal communication skills., • Comfortable working independently in a field-based role., • Full UK Driving License. Essential / Mandatory Qualifications • 18th Edition (BS 7671), • Level 3 Test & Inspect or Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services (Initial Verification), • Level 3 EESS (Electrical Energy Storage Systems – Battery Storage), • Level 3 Award in Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems, • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent Desirable Experience • Experience working within regulatory and compliance frameworks., • Previous experience in auditing or inspection roles., • Experience using audit or inspection software., • Strong documentation review and report writing skills., • Ability to interpret technical drawings and system schematics.
