We’re looking for a passionate Head Chef with a flair for creating fresh and vibrant dishes with a Latin twist for a new Cuban tapas restaurant and cocktail bar, launching soon in Margate. As Head Chef, you’ll be at the heart of our café, designing seasonal menus, managing day-to-day kitchen operations, and inspiring the team to deliver consistently high-quality food. What You’ll Do · Lead and manage the kitchen team (currently one sous chef) to deliver outstanding dishes. · Create exciting, seasonal menus with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients with a Latin twist. · Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. · Kitchen management to include food ordering, preparation, and stock control to achieve budget targets. · When required, train, mentor, and motivate junior kitchen staff. · Ensure compliance with all health and safety and food hygiene regulations. What We’re Looking For · Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a similar environment. · Strong organisational skills. · A knowledge of creating fresh, enticing food with a Latin twist. · Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. · Oversee that the team conforms to health and hygiene regulations. · Must have at least a Level 3 Food and Hygiene Certificate.
