The Role Reporting to the Senior Risk and Compliance Business Partner, the Compliance Monitoring Business Partner plays a critical role in delivering assurance that Uinsure meets its regulatory obligations and maintains a strong risk-aware culture. This role focuses on designing and executing compliance monitoring plans, supporting Quality Assurance second line testing, identifying risks, and providing actionable insights to strengthen controls across the business. The Compliance Monitoring Business Partner will work with the business, and our distribution partners, to ensure effective oversight and continuous improvement. The Compliance Monitoring Business Partner will have excellent technical regulatory knowledge including a deep understanding of The Consumer Duty, PRIN, ICOBS,PROD, DISP and SYSC. They must be detail oriented and be able to work independently in support of the Risk and Compliance team and the wider business. The role is office based and includes hybrid working. You will work with the whole business in this broad and comprehensive role, in a fast-growing insurtech business. Key Responsibilities Include: Compliance Monitoring and Assurance β’ Support the development and execution of the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan, ensuring alignment with regulatory priorities and business risk., β’ Deliver robust monitoring and assurance activities to assess adherence to Consumer Duty, SM&CR, ICOBS, and other FCA requirements., β’ Plan and conduct a variety of monitoring reviews, including targeted, thematic, and recurring assessments, alongside testing of key controls across critical business processes. Provide assurance on: β’ Product Governance β fair value assessments and oversight (PROD)., β’ Pricing Compliance β GIPP adherence and fairness (brokers/MGAs)., β’ Sales Practices β monitoring delegated arrangements and distribution channels., β’ Marketing & Documentation β ensuring accuracy and compliance of customer-facing materials. β’ Identify compliance gaps and root causes, producing clear, insightful reports with practical recommendations and agreed remedial actions., β’ Support and work with the Compliance Quality Assurance Business Partner to provide second-line assurance over the Commercial department, supporting continuous improvement and regulatory compliance., β’ Maintain comprehensive evidence and reporting for all monitoring activities, ensuring accurate action tracking and timely follow-up. Proactively engage with business teams to secure responses and drive completion of remedial actions. Regulatory & Governance Support β’ Produce clear, actionable reports for the Board, ExCo, and Risk Committee., β’ Track and follow up on remediation actions and escalate where necessary., β’ Support FCA reporting and SM&CR compliance. Key Skills & Competencies: β’ Strong knowledge of FCA regulatory frameworks: SM&CR, PRIN, ICOBS, PROD, SYSC, Consumer Duty, DISP., β’ Proven experience in compliance monitoring, testing, and assurance., β’ Excellent analytical, report writing, and stakeholder engagement skills., β’ Ability to influence and drive change., β’ Minimum 5 yearsβ experience in UK general insurance compliance or monitoring (preferred). Background & Personal Characteristics: β’ Excellent professional standards: proactive, diligent, detail focused., β’ Strong negotiation and influencing skills., β’ Degree-level education and relevant professional qualifications (preferred)., β’ Integrity, discretion, and a positive, collaborative approach.
