Merrifield Consultants are delighted to be partnering with a brilliant Health Charity to recruit a Senior Fundraiser (Trusts & Grants), a pivotal role that will drive one of the organisation’s most important income streams and directly support its mission to reduce health inequalities across the UK. In this role, you’ll lead on generating significant income from trusts, foundations and institutional funders, crafting compelling applications, shaping funding strategies, and stewarding key relationships. You’ll also support new individual giving initiatives and contribute to crowdfunding and campaign activity. Job Title: Senior Fundraiser – Trusts & Grants Organisation: Health Charity Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 per annum Contract: Full-time or part-time considered Location: Near Southampton Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2–3 days per week in the office, with some UK travel Closing Date: Wednesday 10 December Application Requirement: CV and Cover Letter Responsibilities: • Lead on researching, identifying and cultivating a diverse portfolio of trusts, foundations and institutional funders., • Prepare high-quality, evidence-based funding applications for outreach work and core/unrestricted income., • Drive income growth for capital projects, including the development of new mobile charity dental units., • Grow the emerging portfolio of international foundation funders, working with global networks and corporate partners., • Secure opportunities from new and alternative income sources, including community lotteries and regional innovation funds., • Build and maintain strong funder relationships through meetings, calls and site visits., • Develop medium-term trusts fundraising strategies aligned with organisational plans and delivery priorities. Skills/Experience Required: • A strong track record in securing income from trusts, foundations and grants., • Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to turn need and impact into compelling cases for support., • Strategic thinking and the ability to identify opportunities and align them with organisational priorities., • Someone who can turn their hand to other areas of fundraising in particular individual giving., • Confident relationship-building with funders, partners, volunteers and senior stakeholders., • A data-driven mindset, with experience of reporting, analysis and using insight to inform planning.
