Role Overview As a Production Planner, you will be pivotal in managing and optimising the production schedule to meet customer demands efficiently. Working closely with sales, operations, and support teams, you will coordinate works orders, resolve scheduling challenges, and champion process improvements that enhance operational performance. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain production schedules aligned with customer requirements and business goals, • Allocate stock to works orders and proactively address operational constraints, • Prepare accurate production documentation and drive continuous improvements in planning processes, • Lead regular planning meetings to communicate priorities and updates across teams, • Monitor production performance, identifying risks and deviations, and recommend solutions, • Proven experience in production planning within manufacturing or engineering environments, • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all organisational levels, • Analytical mindset with enthusiasm for process formalisation and improvement, • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and adaptable to new IT systems, • Familiarity with MRP/ERP software platforms, • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and ISO 9001:2015 standards is desirable, • Be part of a thriving engineering business investing in new technology and systems, • Contribute to optimising efficient production processes and shaping operational excellence, • Work alongside a supportive, professional team with genuine growth opportunities
