Temporary Document Controller (£20 per hour) Location: Croydon Contract: Temporary Rate: £20/hour Start: Immediate Industry: Construction / Engineering / Built Environment About the Role We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Temporary Document Controller to support our project and design teams. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys structure, and takes pride in accuracy and efficiency. You’ll play a key part in ensuring project documentation is controlled, compliant, and accessible to all stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Document Control & Administration • Maintain and update project documentation across Viewpoint (CDE), R‑Drive, SmartWaste, and Work Wallet., • Ensure all documents follow correct naming conventions and workflows., • Upload, QA‑check, distribute, and archive drawings, reports, and specifications., • Support tender submissions by collating and preparing documentation. Team & Project Support • Provide daily administrative support to the Design Manager and wider project team., • Assist with resolving issues quickly and professionally., • Build strong working relationships with internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Front‑of‑House & Communication • Act as the first point of contact for visitors and incoming calls (where required)., • Deliver a professional, friendly, and welcoming service. Office & Operational Support • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including Royal Mail online systems., • Maintain tracking logs, registers, and databases., • Order office stationery and supplies when needed., • Coordinate diaries and meeting room bookings for senior staff. Additional Duties • Support general office operations as required., • Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold high standards of quality and service., • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to learn.
