Night?shifts typically start between 00:00-02:00 What You'll Do: Our?HGV Class 2?drivers work on shifts, safely transporting our palletised parcels to Couriers or collecting?from?Delivery Units (that's where our couriers pick them up). You will typically have a run with 4 - 5?drops ensuring the safe, efficient driving of vehicles and keeping the?paperwork updated. Our full-time HGV Class 2 driver roles are 40 hours a week,?but flexible contracts and part time hours are available.?Full time is any 5 shifts out of 7, rotas are given in advance. Position: Quality Inspector Location: Basildon, Essex (SS14) Company: auto-scan Duration: Initial 2-Months Contract Pay Rate: £15.00 Per Hour (PAYE) Expected Start Date: January 2026 About Us Autoscan UK Ltd is a leading provider of quality assurance and inspection services to the automotive industry. With years of experience and a commitment to excellence, we partner with top automotive manufacturers to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety. We're currently looking to recruit 3x experienced Quality Inspectors to join an established team at one of our customers sites based in Basildon, Essex. This will be for an initial short term contract duration supporting a project expected to last approximately 2 months. The role will be supporting a new product launch with a specific focus on parts deviation support, this will include visual quality inspection checks, using basic handheld inspection tools, such as verniers, calipers and gauges. It will also be important that the successful candidates have the ability to read and understand technical engineering drawings, as there will also be a level of re-work to be completed on some of the parts in addition to inspection. Working Hours: 0645 - 1545 - Mon to Thurs 0645 - 1145 - Friday Essential Requirements Previous experience in Quality inspection or a related field. Ability to read and understand technical engineering drawings Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Relevant certifications or technical training in Quality inspection, ideally within the automotive, engineering or manufacturing industries (preferred). ?? We currently have exciting, flexible opportunities for HGV Class 1 Night Drivers (or Cat C+E Drivers as we sometimes call them) to join our growing Lakeside depot. Night shifts typically start between 00:00 and 02:00 . What You'll Do: Our HGV Class 1 drivers usually drive our longer routes in waves, ensuring the safe, efficient driving of vehicles from depots to our clients and other sites in the EVRi network. You'll ensure parcels are collected and delivered safely, paperwork updated and assist depot staff with heavier items from time to time. We know the great British roads and weather don't always play nicely, so you'll need to keep us updated with any problems. We can then help find an alternative route. Our HGV Class 1 drivers work on shifts. Full-time contracts are 40 hours per week with some weekends. Full time is any 5 shifts out of 7, rotas are given in advance.
