You will be responsible for accurately recording financial transactions, maintaining accounts, reconciling bank statements, and supporting the smooth running of the finance function. Job responsibilities: • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable., • Carry out regular bank and credit card reconciliations., • Monitor outstanding payments and follow up where required., • Process employee expenses and maintain supporting documentation., • Day to say invoicing and billing tasks., • Preparing, checking and filing VAT returns., • Generate financial reports., • Handle queries related to accounts and financial transactions., • Carrying out credit control, including monitoring outstanding invoices and chasing overdue payments., • Communicating with customers regarding payment queries and resolving any issues., • Maintaining accurate customer account records and allocating payments., • Producing and monitoring aged debtor reports. Skills and Experience: • Previous experience in a bookkeeping or finance role., • Good knowledge of bookkeeping principles and financial processes., • Experience using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar., • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy., • Strong organisational and time-management skills., • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks., • Experience with credit control is a must. Qualifications: • A qualification in bookkeeping, accounting, finance, or a related field is required., • 2 years + experience within a bookkeeping or similar role. The opportunity We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to join us at the beginning of our journey and help establish, register and grow the branch covering *Bournemouth, Poole, Wimborne, Ferndown, Christchurch, Sandbanks and surrounding areas* This is not simply a position maintaining an established service. You will work closely with the owners, lead the CQC registration process, recruit and develop your team and help shape how the branch operates. As the business grows, we want the successful Registered Manager to grow with us, with opportunities for increased responsibility, career development and salary progression. The role You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management, quality, compliance and development of our domiciliary care service. Your main focus will be establishing and delivering safe, high-quality and person-centred care. You will take a leading role in securing CQC registration and, once registration is granted, maintaining ongoing regulatory compliance and excellent care standards. Our principal services will include personal care, medication support, companionship, meal preparation, live-in care, respite care and assistance with daily living. While domiciliary care will remain the central focus, you will also support the operational oversight and development of our wider community services. These may include domestic assistance, shopping, transportation, cleaning (domestic/commercial), staffing solutions, and other practical services. Key responsibilities • Lead the development and day-to-day operation of the branch, • Take a leading role in the CQC registration process, • Maintain ongoing compliance with CQC requirements and the Fundamental Standards once registered, • Recruit, onboard, supervise, develop and retain care and support staff, • Build a reliable team of office-based and field-based employees, • Oversee client assessments, care plans, risk assessments and regular reviews, • Manage staff scheduling and ensure clients receive reliable and well-coordinated care, • Maintain effective safeguarding, medication, mental-capacity and complaints procedures, • Ensure accurate, confidential and compliant record-keeping, • Monitor service quality through audits, feedback and continuous improvement, • Manage staff performance, supervision, appraisal and training, • Build positive relationships with clients, families, healthcare professionals, local authorities and community partners, • Manage staffing levels, budgets, invoicing, payroll information, KPIs and operational performance, • Support local marketing, business development and the growth of care hours, • Work closely with the owners and SureCare support network to develop the branch, • Help establish SureCare Bournemouth & Poole as a trusted local care provider Essential experience and requirements • At least three years’ experience working within domiciliary or home care, • Proven experience working as a Care Manager or Registered Manager within a regulated domiciliary care service, • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, the Fundamental Standards and quality compliance, • Experience managing safeguarding concerns, complaints, mental-capacity assessments and medication incidents, • Experience recruiting, supervising, developing and retaining care staff, • Strong knowledge of care planning, risk assessment and person-centred care, • Excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills, • Confidence working with KPIs, budgets and business-growth objectives, • The qualifications, competence, skills and experience needed to apply to CQC as the service’s Registered Manager, • The ability to travel reliably throughout the service area Qualifications A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or an equivalent qualification, is strongly preferred. Applicants currently working towards an appropriate Level 5 qualification may be considered if they can otherwise demonstrate substantial care-management experience and suitability for registration with CQC. Previous registration with CQC as a Registered Manager would be an advantage. Salary and progression The starting salary is £36,000–£38,000 per annum, depending on experience. A formal salary review will take place after six months of appointment. Subject to the individual's performance, achievement of objectives and the overall growth of the branch, there will be scope for the salary to increase to £40,000 per annum.
