Head of Sales - Motor Trade Motor Trade Dealership based in Southport Job Purpose As Head of Sales, you will take full ownership of sales performance, ensuring profitability, operational excellence, and outstanding customer satisfaction. You will lead and develop a high-performing sales team, foster a positive and accountable working environment, and implement effective strategies to achieve ambitious business targets. Key Duties and Responsibilities Lead, motivate, and develop the sales team to consistently exceed targets Drive departmental profitability through effective planning, forecasting, and performance management Foster a positive, high-performance culture built on accountability and continuous improvement Ensure an exceptional customer experience, maintaining and promoting company standards Oversee day-to-day operations across car finance, retail sales, and administration to ensure efficiency and compliance Collaborate with senior leadership to support and deliver the company's growth strategy Ensure full compliance with all regulatory, legal, and manufacturer requirements Analyse sales data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement Produce regular reports on sales performance, including KPIs, achievements, and development areas Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, market trends, and best practices Experience and Qualifications Essential: Proven experience in a senior sales management role (ideally up to 5 years), preferably within the motor trade Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead effectivelyDesirable: Experience managing large, multi-site or multi-franchise sales teams in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving sustained business growth Strong leadership and people management capability In-depth understanding of car finance products, processes, and regulatory requirements Salary and Benefits Basic salary: £60,000 - £65,000 On-target earnings (OTE): £85,000 + Working Hours Contracted hours: 44 hours per weekSchedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 9:00am - 6:00pm Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00am - 7:00pm Saturday: 8:50am - 5:00pm Sunday: 11:30am - 5:00pm Includes a 1-hour unpaid lunch break (30 minutes on Sundays)Time Off: One weekday off every alternate week On weeks without a weekday off, you will have the full weekend off This results in alternate weekends off and an average 5.5-day working week DCS Recruitment and all associated companies are committed to creating a working environment where diversity is celebrated and everyone is treated fairly, regardless of gender, gender identity, disability, ethnic origin, religion or belief, sexual orientation, marital or transgender status, age, or nationality
