Quality Engineer \n We are recruiting a Quality Engineer for our reputable client (permanent position) \n\n • Location: Melksham, Wiltshire\n, • Salary: £40,000-£45,000\n, • Bonus: Up to 10%\n, • Pension: Matched up to 7.5%\n, • Role: Quality Engineer\n\n About our Client hiring a Quality Engineer: \n An established engineering and manufacturing business with a strong focus on quality, compliance and continuous improvement. They are now seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support production, process control, new product introduction and supplier quality across a technically demanding product range. \n Key Responsibilities as a Quality Engineer: \n\n • Lead quality activities across production\n, • Review processes, controls and documentation, driving corrective actions and improvements\n, • Maintain SOPs, Control Plans and other quality documents\n, • Carry out patrol, final and document audits\n, • Support NPI, APQP, PFMEA and validation activities\n, • Support design reviews, change control, fault finding and failure analysis\n, • Carry out incoming inspection and support supplier quality activities\n, • Lead root cause investigations and continuous improvement work\n, • Support testing, SPC, process capability analysis and data-driven improvements\n, • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and control of quality records and certification documents\n, • Provide technical quality support across Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain\n\n Requirements for the Quality Engineer role: \n\n • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience\n, • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering or a related technical role\n, • Strong understanding of quality engineering within a manufacturing environment\n, • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and technical specifications\n, • Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills\n, • Experience with process control tools, data analysis and statistical methods\n, • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality system requirements\n\n Desirable experience for the Quality Engineer role: \n\n • Experience in electronics manufacturing\n, • Knowledge of IPC standards\n, • Lead Auditor certification\n, • Experience with supplier quality and incoming inspection\n, • Knowledge of PFMEA, DFMEA, APQP and PPAP\n, • Understanding of RoHS, REACH, traceability and product compliance requirements\n, • Experience with Excel, Power BI, Power Automate or Visio\n, • Six Sigma, SPC or Green Belt training\n, • Experience with functional, environmental or reliability testing\n, • Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen and continuous improvement tools\n\n What is Offered for the Quality Engineer role: \n\n • Competitive salary of £40,000-£45,000\n, • Bonus up to 10%\n, • Pension matched up to 7.5%\n, • Medicash medical cover\n, • Share incentive plan option\n, • Permanent opportunity with long-term career prospects\n
