Quality Engineer We are recruiting a Quality Engineer for our reputable client (permanent position) • Location: Melksham, Wiltshire, • Salary: £40,000-£45,000, • Bonus: Up to 10%, • Pension: Matched up to 7.5% An established engineering and manufacturing business with a strong focus on quality, compliance and continuous improvement. They are now seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support production, process control, new product introduction and supplier quality across a technically demanding product range. Key Responsibilities as a Quality Engineer: • Lead quality activities across production, • Review processes, controls and documentation, driving corrective actions and improvements, • Maintain SOPs, Control Plans and other quality documents, • Carry out patrol, final and document audits, • Support NPI, APQP, PFMEA and validation activities, • Support design reviews, change control, fault finding and failure analysis, • Carry out incoming inspection and support supplier quality activities, • Lead root cause investigations and continuous improvement work, • Support testing, SPC, process capability analysis and data-driven improvements, • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and control of quality records and certification documents, • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience, • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering or a related technical role, • Strong understanding of quality engineering within a manufacturing environment, • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and technical specifications, • Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills, • Experience with process control tools, data analysis and statistical methods, • Experience in electronics manufacturing, • Knowledge of IPC standards, • Lead Auditor certification, • Experience with supplier quality and incoming inspection, • Knowledge of PFMEA, DFMEA, APQP and PPAP, • Understanding of RoHS, REACH, traceability and product compliance requirements, • Experience with Excel, Power BI, Power Automate or Visio, • Six Sigma, SPC or Green Belt training, • Experience with functional, environmental or reliability testing, • Competitive salary of £40,000-£45,000, • Bonus up to 10%, • Pension matched up to 7.5%, • Medicash medical cover, • Share incentive plan option, • Permanent opportunity with long-term career prospects
