The project is currently at a key delivery stage, and the client requires a proven HV Project Manager with demonstrable experience delivering high‑voltage transmission substation projects within live National Grid environments. This role will suit a hands‑on Project Manager with strong Tier 1 contractor experience, capable of leading complex HV infrastructure works while managing programme, commercial, safety, and stakeholder requirements across all phases of delivery. • Lead the delivery of high‑voltage substation works within a live National Grid environment, • Manage all project activities from construction through to commissioning and handover, • Ensure delivery against programme, budget, quality, and safety objectives, • Coordinate multidisciplinary delivery teams, subcontractors, and specialist HV suppliers, • Manage HV infrastructure projects including substations, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, and associated civils, • Oversee works across transmission‑level voltage ranges including 132kV, 275kV and 400kV systems, • Coordinate outages, energisation activities, and National Grid interface requirements, • Manage NEC contract obligations including:, • Early Warnings, • Compensation Events, • Programme reporting, • Risk management, • Support commercial performance, forecasting, and cost control activities, • Promote a strong HSEQ culture across all project activities, • Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, National Grid standards, and site safety procedures, • Review and manage RAMS, ITPs, permits, and commissioning documentation, • Act as the key interface between the client, National Grid representatives, subcontractors, and internal delivery teams, • Lead progress meetings, reporting, and coordination activities, • Maintain strong communication across all project stakeholders during critical delivery phases, • Proven experience delivering National Grid or transmission‑level HV substation projects, • Strong background working for Tier 1 contractors within the utilities / energy sector, • Experience managing projects involving 132kV, 275kV, 400kV infrastructure, • Strong understanding of HV substations, Switchgear, Transformers, Protection systems, Grid connections, • Demonstrable NEC3 / NEC4 contract management experience, • Ability to manage live HV construction environments and critical programme milestones, • Excellent stakeholder management and leadership capability, • HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, • SMSTS, • CSCS Black Card (preferred), • National Grid competencies / authorisations advantageous, • Full UK Driving Licence #J-18808-Ljbffr
