Direct Support Professional

We are hiring FOH & BOH positions for a full-service Italian restaurant in Manhattan! Looking for extreme-hospitality oriented service workers, people who are passionate about providing excellent guest experiences. This is a busy location, must have full-time open availability. Previous experience and knowledge of Italian Food/Wines is highly preferred. Line Cooks - $18-23/HR, 2+ years of cook experience required in an Italian setting (Pizza/Pasta/Salads/Sauces/Prep) Food safety knowledge is required, must keep a clean and organized station, able to work in a fast-paced environment Servers - $10.65 + tips, 1+ years in full-service dining required, wine knowledge highly preferred. Friendly, warm and welcoming personalities. Must be experienced and able to manage their tables/section with exceptional service and professionalism. Host/Hostess - $20-22/HR, 1+ years as a host required, excellent communication and guest service skills, organized, assist FOH team occasionally with side work Bartenders- $10.65+tips, 1+ year working in a full-service bar, classic cocktail & wine knowledge required. Fun personalities, engaging with guests, ability to upsell, TIPS certified preferred. Busser - 10.65 + tips, 1+ years as a busser/FOH team member required. Assist servers & bartenders with clearing plates/glassware from tables, keeping guests in a clean space.

Responsibilities: Adhere to hygiene and appearance standards; Engage with our guests by anticipating and responding to their needs through clear and pleasant communication; Knowledgeable of menu items and their ingredients and knowledgeable of how products are prepared; Cleaning equipment and floors, stocking, preparing store for peak periods; Take initiative in resolving guest challenges and involve a leader only when previous methods have been unsuccessful; Obtaining revenues, issuing receipts, accepting payments, returning the change; Maintain a calm demeanor, especially during periods of high volume, to preserve a hospitable experience for our guests.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: You will assist in monitoring this residential program for individuals experiencing homelessness, with a focus on maintaining a safe environment. Be part of a team with a commitment to engaging individuals in an approachable and empathetic manner while performing rounds and addressing the varied needs of individuals experiencing homelessness. You will manage conflict or challenging behaviors with self-awareness, emphasizing safety and building trust while understanding each person's unique experience. You will also be responsible for screening residents and visitors at front door, create written documentation, including logbook entries, incident reports and progress notes. Manage inventory for supplies, maintain fire safety drills and logs, and provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance/NARCAN when needed. Assist with inspections and audits. Escort clients and serve meals as needed. Help maintain an orderly and clean facility. Related duties as assigned. This position is subject to mandatory overtime. High School/GED Required
