Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our educational team. Responsibilities
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy, math, and overall childhood development.
Create lesson plans that accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a conducive learning environment.
Provide individualized support for students with special education needs, including early intervention strategies.
Foster strong communication with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Conduct standardized testing as required, while also utilizing informal assessments to guide instruction.
Collaborate with other educators to enhance teaching practices and share resources.
Maintain a safe and nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration and learning.
Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with educational best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
Experience working with children in various educational settings, including daycare, preschool, or private schools.
Strong understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
Familiarity with Montessori methods or other alternative teaching philosophies is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
Proven experience in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to diverse learners.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating independent initiative.

About the Role The Lead Teacher provides instructional leadership and a nurturing, developmentally appropriate classroom aligned to NYC DOE early childhood standards. Key Duties Plan and deliver daily lessons aligned to UPK/3K frameworks; differentiate for individual needs. Create a warm, culturally responsive classroom; maintain routines, visuals, centers, and materials. Observe, document, and assess children’s progress; maintain portfolios and progress reports. Collaborate with Assistant Teacher/Helper; model best practices and delegate tasks effectively. Communicate regularly with families; lead conferences, newsletters, and classroom updates. Ensure health, safety, and supervision at all times; adhere to DOE/DOH policies. Participate in monthly staff development; implement feedback and program initiatives. Support referrals and in-class services for children receiving special education/related services.
