SONYC, which stands for Schools Out NYC, is the COMPASS middle school model that serves as a pathway to success for youth in 6th, 7th and 8th grades. NYC becomes the classroom through trips and opportunities for instruction beyond the traditional facilities. Programs are offered 5 days per week during the school year. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES The Activity specialist should have an interest in working with youths. In this role, you will be critical in providing targeted, skill- and age-appropriate instruction, coaching, and mentorship to youth in New York Edge’s after-school day camp programs. Sports Specialists organize and lead physical activity programming at their site, ensuring the safety of all program participants.
