Position Overview We're seeking an experienced Safety & Compliance Manager to lead our safety initiatives, risk management programs, and regulatory compliance across all Cargomatic operations. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that our drivers, contractors, equipment, and facilities meet or exceed all federal, state, and local safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of FMCSA, DOT, and OSHA regulations, with proven expertise in developing proactive safety programs, managing compliance audits, and investigating incidents. This position requires excellent organizational skills, a high sense of accountability, and the ability to respond promptly to urgent safety situations—sometimes outside of standard business hours. Key Responsibilities Safety Program Leadership * Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies and training programs for company drivers, owner-operators, and terminal staff. * Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and OSHA standards, including recordkeeping, driver log reviews, and safety event monitoring. * Conduct regular facility, route, and equipment inspections, identifying hazards and implementing corrective actions. Incident & Compliance Management * Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and injuries; document findings and execute corrective measures. * Serve as the Designated Employer Representative (DER) for all drug and alcohol testing programs (pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion). * Manage FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse compliance, workers' compensation claims, and OSHA recordkeeping. Regulatory Reporting & Audits * Audit and maintain driver qualification files (DQFs) and approve recruits for orientation. * Manage fleet registrations, permits, IFTA reporting, and MCS-150 updates. * Oversee FMCSA portal data accuracy and ensure audit readiness for inspections and reporting. Training & Orientation * Conduct onboarding and recurring orientation sessions for drivers and owner-operators. * Distribute and track safety materials, ELDs, dashcams, decals, and permit documentation. * Implement ongoing online and in-person safety training sessions. Operational Safety Support * Provide 24/7 availability for safety emergencies and compliance issues. * Support terminals without dedicated safety or maintenance management. * Collaborate with insurance and legal teams on claims, litigation, and risk mitigation efforts. Qualifications * 5+ years of experience in safety and compliance management within trucking, drayage, or intermodal transportation. * Strong working knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and OSHA regulations. * Proven experience in safety training, compliance auditing, and incident investigation. * Experience managing drug and alcohol programs and FMCSA Clearinghouse compliance. * Exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to lead and influence across teams. * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. * Willingness to travel up to 25%. Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Front Office Manager who will be responsible for administering front office functions and supervising staff on a daily basis. This will include but not be limited to Front office, Guest Services, and Front Desk. Position works with General Manager and employees to carry out procedures ensuring an efficient check in and check out process. Ensures guest and employee satisfaction and maximizes the financial performance of the Hotel. Core work activities: A strong level of computer skills is required, including flexibility with the schedule (able to work day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays) and consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service. Responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the front desk, guest services, and the profitability made from room revenue. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the General Manager. Provides direction and leadership to associates at the front desk. Provides courteous guest service by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries, requests, complaints, and by accurately processing guest messages. Process all incoming and outgoing reservation and cancellation requests in a timely manner by mail, telephone, and in person. Assists guests during all aspects of their stay to include accurate check in and check out. Communicates with Housekeeping to ensure that all cleaned rooms are entered into the computer system. Acts as Manager on Duty. Responsible for assisting the General Manager with room inventory control and maximizing room revenue. Assists with Hotel Sales in all areas including sales calls, room blocks and marketing programs. Coordinates the delivery of guest services by all hotel departments. Make recommendations regarding front desk budget and manages expenses within approved budget constraints. Responsible for the inventory, purchasing, disbursement, and cost control for all front desk items. Manages the human resources function in all areas of the front desk in order to attract, retain, and motivate associates: hire, develop, empower, coach and counsel, conduct performance reviews, resolve problems, and provide open communication for all associates. Schedules associates in accordance with forecasted occupancy, adjusts staffing as necessary for sudden changes in business levels. Covers shifts of absent associates. Maintains information and communication sources. Assist in developing emergency action plans, and coordinate with other departments to implement plans. Attends all meetings as required. Follows established safety procedures. Provides assistance to other departments of the hotel to contribute to its smooth operation. Maintains a clean, pleasant, and professional image to guests and associates. Complies with all hotel policies and procedures.
