About the Role In order to achieve its ambition of serving 80,000-100,000 Fellows over the next decade, Braven is hiring an Associate, Recruitment - New Jersey who will be responsible for recruiting and enrolling Fellows (students) into the Braven Accelerator course at the Higher Education Partnership per semester to meet annual goals. To achieve these results, you will recruit and manage a part-time student recruitment intern and Braven Student Ambassadors. You will work closely with Central and Regional recruitment teams, as well as the Rutgers-Newark team to help you reach your goals. In all of this, you will contribute to building and maintaining a positive presence of Braven at the Higher Education Partnership (HEP). This role is on the New Jersey Regional Team team and reports directly to the Senior Director, New Jersey. What You’ll Do Student Recruitment and Enrollment (50%) • Develop vision, strategy, and plans to effectively enroll and reach annual student recruitment goals each semester into the Braven course, • Use Salesforce and Google Suites to manage recruitment data, operations, and pipelines, • Analyze recruitment data weekly to inform recruiting strategy, • Organize and support recruitment presentations and materials, • Host recruitment events in order to source prospective students, • Recruit and manage a team of student interns and volunteers, • Share design input and feedback with Braven’s External Affairs team on marketing materials, • Collect and share compelling stories with the Communications Team and External Affairs Team, • Support the Social Media and Marketing Committee, • Support the cultivation and management of key stakeholders such as university staff and alumni, as well as employer and community partners, • Assess strategies employed and make informed improvements based on the gathering of quantitative, qualitative, and anecdotal data to present to key stakeholders., • Participate in individual annual and quarterly planning and all-team events, • Recruit, hire, onboard, and manage part-time student interns, • Recruit and train student volunteers known as Braven Ambassadors, • Education: Bachelor’s Degree, • Work Experience: At least 1 year of experience with a track record of success in recruitment and/or marketing. Preferred Qualifications • At least 1 year of experience in the non-profit field, • Proficiency in Google Suite, Slack, Salesforce, Jira, Canva, • Ability to quickly build positive working relationships and identify strategically important relationships, • Excellent communication, facilitation and public speaking skills, • Experience coaching and mentoring students in career development, • Experience managing and developing people, particularly managing through others, • Proven ability to create, operationalize, and manage project plans, meeting milestones and deadlines, • Track record of using data and metrics to drive decisions and measure performance, • High degree of flexibility and adaptability, excels in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and is comfortable with ambiguity, • Familiarity with social media marketing techniques for college students., • Exemplification of Braven’s core values, • Experiences that have informed your belief in Braven’s mission and prepared you to work with, or for, Braven’s student Fellow population Please know that no one ever meets 100% of the preferred qualifications. They are responsible for ensuring that the students who complete the Accelerator at the HEP secure a strong first job or enroll in graduate school within 6 months of graduation and maintain a positive and strong presence at the HEP and in New Jersey. As a member of the New Jersey team & the leader of the Higher Education Partnership, you will lead a team of 3-5 full-time employees and a team of part-time interns. The Senior Director of the HEP Partnership will also be responsible for working collaboratively with all of our central and regional teams, including our volunteer recruitment team and the team that manages the delivery of our course. Together, you, the Executive Director (ED), and the Senior Director of the Higher Education Partnership will build and maintain a positive and strong presence at the HEP and in New Jersey. This role is on the New Jersey team and reports directly to the Executive Director of New Jersey. What You’ll Do Deliver Site Outcomes (40%) • Oversee and ensure strong local program implementation at the HEP, including the pre-course, course, and post-course experience, to meet programmatic goals., • Drive and responsible for the quality of regionally owned program elements including (but not limited to) local programming, learning lab implementation, data collection for job campaign, etc., • For the elements of the program that are delivered by the center, serve as a check for the HEP satisfaction and fit with local student needs and campus culture; provide feedback to the central teams in a spirit of partnership and continuous improvement., • Assess data continuously and ensure students are on track to graduate and secure strong jobs.
