Job Description Position: Energy Utility Contract Analyst This position will be staffed as a consultant to PSEGLI, employed by MAVEC GROUP, LLC. The position is remote or in-office, as decided by PSEG LI—candidates must be willing to work under both conditions. Candidates must be located on Long Island and within a reasonable commuting distance to Hicksville or Bethpage, NY. Onboarding and initial training will be conducted in-office. Estimated Start Date: ASAP You MUST answer ALL the screening questions and have a resume attached to be considered • Background check and drug screen required Job Summary: This role requires hands-on experience with FEMA-funded procurement and compliance with 2 CFR 200 (Uniform Guidance). The Contract Analyst is responsible for Contract Management and Procurement of services and materials consistent with the needs of PSEG Long Island Procurement Group. Establishes and executes a strategy to source and manage storm and project contracts in compliance with PSEG Long Island guidelines and federal regulations applicable to procurements using grant funds, such as those awarded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) (e.g., 2 CFR 200 et seq.). Work with a cross-functional team that engages Government Contracts and Capital projects. Develop, and implement RFPs, Purchase Orders, Contracts, Amendments, and Change Orders. Complete administrative tasks and projects related to Procurement and Contract Administration. Ensure accurate procurement planning, innovative sourcing, contract development, and contract administration while maintaining procurement policies and procedures compliance. Manage the day-to-day administration of Contracts, Purchase Orders, and Coordinate with Project Teams between Suppliers, Contractors, Consultants, and the Company. Additional Responsibilities: • Pre-qualify suppliers, • Conduct Pre-bid Meetings & Site Walk, • Promote cost savings, • Conduct market research and analysis, • Supplier Management/ Vendor Relations, • Knowledge of Supplier Diversity (MWBE & SDVOB), • Monitor and expedite PO/Contract deliverables, • Monitor status via contact with customers and suppliers/contractors, • Identify opportunities for process improvement., • Must have reliable transportation to attend site visits, meetings, and pre-bid walkthroughs as required. Additional most important attributes for candidates: • Proven ability to issue RFPs, perform bid analytics and draft recommendations to award documents., • Proven ability to negotiate contract terms/ amendments., • Proven work experience in Executing FEMA Compliant Construction Contracts. Advanced knowledge of Excel is essential and may be tested during the interview process (if selected for interview) Qualifications: • Bachelor of Science in Business or a related degree, • Minimum of five years of relevant experience including with executing Construction Services Contracts., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Working knowledge of SAP, Ariba and Power Advocate software experience is preferred., • Strong negotiation, communication, organizational and team-building skills Note: This job description is a general outline of the key responsibilities and qualifications required for the position.
